Fredrik Eklund's Family Is Growing, But Not How You Think
The Million Dollar Listing agent noted it's "maybe time for more" kids.
Fredrik Eklund’s family just got a little bit bigger. The Million Dollar Listing New York agent received a very special gift for his 43rd birthday: a new puppy!
Fredrik shared the news in an April 26 Instagram post, where he posted a gallery of sweet photos from the day and explained how he celebrated his birthday. “It’s a Swedish tradition for the birthday boy to be woken up super really to eat cake in the bed with the family after singing,” he wrote in the caption. “Milla and Freddy made birthday cards and instantly got a crazy sugar high and started jumping up and down like mini kangaroos.”
He then revealed the present he was most excited to receive. “The best gift was the golden doodle puppy named Cash, arriving in four weeks,” he wrote, adding that his husband Derek Kaplan, had been planning it all behind his back. Although the family does not yet have the dog in their home, he included an adorable photo in his post.
“Cash will play with our little wiener dogs Fritzy and Mousey as soon as the lockdown is over,” Fredrik said. “We miss them so much, but they’re living their best life in our country house in Connecticut with all those beautiful grounds to roam around and lots of love and attention. Soon we will all be together again.”
Fredrik also teased that turning a year older had him thinking about expanding the family in another way.
“Every year gets better, truly, 43 feels so good and I’m eternally grateful.” he wrote. “I get very emotional when I think of all the love and blessings, especially the kids that have entered the cutest age ever and they are not even 2.5 years yet. Maybe time for more…”
