Hear Emily Simpson's Life Update That Shane Simpson Thinks "Is Insane"
Emily's RHOC castmate Gina Kirschenheiter was also shocked to hear her news.
Emily Simpson is on the road to mastering a new hobby: motorcycling.
The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 17 cast member revealed as much on Aug. 30's Episode 12, much to the surprise of several people, including her husband.
Read on to see how Shane Simpson really feels about Emily's new hobby, and why she decided to take it up in the first place.
Emily Simpson's Motorcycling Journey
The mom-of-three shared that she wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle, obtain her license, and even purchase a bike of her own while visiting a Harley-Davidson store on the latest episode of RHOC.
Why? As she put it, "I've been looking forward to taking a motorcycle class because I just want to try new things, and I guess I got to this point in my life where I didn't want to talk about things anymore, I wanted to actually do them."
What Emily Simpson's Friends and Family Think About Her Getting a Motorcycle
Gina Kirschenheiter arrived at the Harley-Davidson store while Emily was browsing the various bikes, but much to Emily's surprise, Gina wasn't sure why they were meeting there.
"Oh my gosh, I didn't tell you?" Emily said. "I failed to mention that I'm gonna take the motorcycle class to get my motorcycle license."
Suffice to say, Gina was shocked. "Can't we just do [something] that could kill you less?" she joked. "I feel like it's good you didn't tell me this."
Her opinion didn't change, either, because when Emily was telling some of the other Orange County ladies about her motorcycle dreams later on in the episode, Gina noted, "I don't support this motorcycle stuff."
Emily's husband, Shane, appears to be siding with Gina, as Emily admitted in a confessional interview, "Shane thinks I'm insane."
An RHOC producer then jokingly asked if Shane is going to "ride in [Emily]'s sidecar," to which she responded, "He's side car-sized."
There was one person eager to show their support for Emily's new hobby, though: Tamra Judge, who obtained her own motorcycle license in 2022 after years of riding on the back of her husband Eddie Judge's bike.
Tamra even joined Emily for her first safety lesson. Looking back on the class, Emily noted, "I did well!"
Will Shane do just as well if he ever joins Emily? Stay tuned to find out.
