Gina Kirschenheiter Gives an Update on Travis & Living Situation Drama (EXCLUSIVE)
RHOC's Gina Kirschenheiter said she and Travis have "adjusted" to living apart.
Gina Kirschenheiter went through some growing pains with her boyfriend of five years, Travis Mullen, on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18, but the two are in a much better place today.
The Long Island native caught up with The Daily Dish on October 30 to discuss the latest in her post-Season 18 life, sharing, "Things are actually going really great, I’m very happy to report that. I feel like we’ve settled into a really good space where we’ve both kind of accepted the circumstance that we’re dealing with, and we’ve adjusted to the transition of the two homes."
As viewers saw on RHOC Season 18, Gina asked Travis to move out. The move, she said, was in the best interest of her three kids, Nicholas, Luca, and Sienna Kirschenheiter.
Though Travis, Gina, and their blended family (which also includes Travis' three kids) have adjusted, she admitted that it's still "super annoying" because the two "live literally down the road from each other."
"So it’s constantly like ‘I forgot this’, ‘I need that’, back and forth, shuffle shuffle. But it still feels better to me," she added. "It feels like it was the right decision."
How does Travis Mullen feel about living apart from Gina Kirschenheiter?
Travis wasn't thrilled when Gina made the decision for them to live separately, and during her recent interview with The Daily Dish, she said the two "still kind of disagree" about "the actual moving out."
"But we’ve both also accepted that, like, fundamentally as a couple, you can disagree about things and you can still respect each other and love each other and move on from it," she told The Daily Dish. "That’s just something that we have accepted that we fundamentally don’t necessarily agree about the way that it’s happened but we’re here now and we truly love each other and that’s what we’re focusing on."
Do Gina Kirschenheiter and Travis Mullen plan to move back in together?
The two do not have plans to move back in together at the moment, Gina told The Daily Dish.
"I think it’s working for us both," she said about living apart. "Everybody keeps saying that, ‘What’s your goal?’ or ‘Where do you see this going in the end?’ and it’s honestly like I just don’t have those answers. I am just focusing on what is happening right now, which is we’re doing well, we’re both content, our children are all OK and happy, and that’s what I choose to focus on."
"I’m not choosing to focus on what maybe the future looks like right now. Maybe that’s a little bit of me not wanting to look at that, but either way, I’m here now," she said before laughing.
