Bethenny Frankel Has Big Plans with Boyfriend Paul Bernon and Their "Blended Family"
The Real Housewives of New York City alum gave intimate details about her love life.
With one year together as a couple officially under their belts, Bethenny Frankel and her boyfriend, Paul Bernon, have some major plans for the future.
The Real Housewives of New York City alum opened up about what's next for the couple during a recent interview with PEOPLE. “We spent Thanksgiving together and we’re planning a trip to Japan,” she said, adding that she will be taking daughter Bryn snowboarding in Colorado for the holidays before being "with Paul and the blended family in Mexico."
Bethenny mentioned that she and Paul are also planning on sneaking in a spa trip right before the holidays.
Paul has been especially supportive of Bethenny's latest business venture, Skinnygirl Supplements, one of which is directed toward enhancing female intimacy. “Let’s just say there have been no complaints," Bethenny said, adding that Paul is “all for it.”
“He loves the idea that I’m embracing that,” Bethenny continued. “That’s one thing as we get older, we don’t lose that [desire] and I think women are embracing their sexuality more and also talking more about it."
It sounds like life is good for Bethenny and Paul in every aspect of their relationship. “He’s a wonderful person,” she told PEOPLE. “He’s relaxed, mellow, very funny, smart and low-key, a loving good person and he takes care of me.”
Some issues in her personal life played a part in why Bethenny ultimately decided to step away from RHONY following Season 11, which she announced in August. “It had been 12 years of my life, but honestly, after experiencing a great loss in my life [the death of her boyfriend Dennis Shields in August 2018], going through a challenging trial and a lot of personal issues, I never really took the proper time off after those life changes,” she said. “In my mind, I think, ‘Oh yeah, I can go back to filming,’ or ‘I just finished a trial, so it’s okay,’ because you’re experiencing it on the show and then discussing it, but I think you need a good amount of time to collect yourself after major life events and I don’t think reality TV is the best place to do that.”
Being surrounded by so much love this holiday season is something Bethenny is definitely not taking for granted. "To be able to create meaningful and rare experiences and memories for myself and Bryn gives meaning to having worked so hard for so many years," Bethenny recently reflected on Instagram. "Having spent holidays alone and having no rent money and bouncing checks makes me appreciate what I have now—but truly makes me realize that the most important thing in life is LOVE."
