The Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew welcomed her beau home after a "fun change of plans."
Aesha Scott kicked off the weekend with a special “surprise.”
During a brief stay in Auckland, New Zealand, the Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew received an unexpected call from Scott “Scotty” Dobson, her longtime partner who had been traveling outside the country. Aesha broke down the conversation in an October 10 Instagram Story filmed a day earlier.
Aesha Scott shares her fiancé's big surprise: "I'm really stoked!"
“Hello, my lovely friends! How are we doing? Boy, do I have some news for you all!” she said from inside her car. “Sorry, I feel like I actually look rather disheveled today because I ended up staying in Auckland last night when I hadn’t planned to. So I’m in most of the same clothes…”
She continued: “Anyway, the point is, Scott called me yesterday and he’s like, ‘Oh, I’ve decided to come home early. Can you stay in Auckland and pick me up from Auckland tomorrow?’ So I am now mere hours away from picking up my love from the airport. He wasn’t supposed to land until mid-next week. So, yeah, really fun change of plans. I’m really stoked!”
Aesha said she shelved the video for about a day because she didn’t want to “ruin the surprise for Scott’s parents.”

On Friday, October 11, the longtime yachty returned to the ’Gram to share her and Scott’s much-anticipated reunion. She posted a video of her and her fiancé at their Mount Maunganui home, where she showered him with kisses.
“Here he is!” she said in the video. “And he’s so happy to be here!”
Aesha reveals her and Scott's "big" wedding plans
Aesha and Scott first met in high school and reconnected years later on social media. The fellow New Zealanders went Instagram official in the summer of 2020 and got engaged about four years later.
Scott popped the question during a romantic trip to Homunga Bay, which Aesha described as her “dream place to get engaged.”
“I had no idea it was coming and was totally surprised,” she told Us Weekly about the proposal.
Fast-forward to late May, when Aesha revealed her and Scott’s plans for a “big" 2025 wedding.
“We want to have a long engagement,” she told The Daily Dish. “We want to do it in the New Zealand summer, which is obviously over the Christmas time. We don’t want to do it this summer. We want to do it next summer. We wanted to enjoy this phase, and we also wanted to wait long enough that all of our American friends and family had enough time to save and to really turn it into a big holiday.”
