Bronwyn Newport Addresses "Gold Digger" Claims Head-On & Explains Why She Doesn't Have a Prenup
RHOSLC newcomer Bronwyn Newport explained the financial reality of her marriage to Todd Bradley.
Bronwyn Newport was first introduced to Bravo fans during Season 5, Episode 1 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and it didn't take long for her fellow 'Wives to, as they say, talk about the husband. By Episode 4 of the season, the ladies weren't holding back their questions about Bronwyn's marriage to Todd Bradley, including details on their finances.
During the October 9 episode, Britani Bateman asked Bronwyn if she was interested in Todd — who is 26 years her senior — because of his money, and Bronwyn didn't hesitate to dive into the subject.
"When I met Todd, I was working in finance myself. And if Todd and I got divorced tomorrow, I would not have access to most of the stuff Todd has, because Todd and I are genuinely in a real relationship that does include a physical attraction, it includes a mental attraction, and it includes best friendship," she told the women during dinner at the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. "And I wouldn't take Todd to the cleaners, which is why we don't have a prenup."
After Bronwyn shared this insight into her marriage, the women had more questions.
"Wait, no prenup? No prenup at all? But that seems like he's such a savvy businessman, he wouldn't marry someone without a prenup," said Heather Gay.
"Todd is such a savvy businessman, that do you think my snarky lame ass hoodwinked him? Todd is so successful that he has all these assets to protect and he didn't see that I was coming as a gold digger? There's something genuine between Todd and I, and he sees it," Bronwyn noted.
How Did Bronwyn Newport Meet Husband Todd Bradley?
In the episode, Bronwyn also detailed her meet-cute with Todd.
"Him and I were both having lunch by ourselves and he was talking to me, and I thought he was hysterically funny," she explained.
And no, the setup was in no way planned.
When Britani dug for more information, Bronwyn said with a sarcastic wink, "Well, I had Google-financed his ass before I met him randomly at a bar one day for lunch, so yes, I was only interested in his money, Britani."
In a confessional, she explained that all of the "gold digger" and "evil stepmother" talk she hears is "boring" to her — mostly because she knows it's not true.
Who is Bronwyn Newport's husband?
Besides being Bronwyn's husband, Todd Bradley is a successful businessman with experience in the worlds of finance and tech. He's also the father of two children and stepfather to Bronwyn's daughter, Gwen.
"Todd has had a whole life before I was even born," explained Bronwyn during Episode 4. "Every once in a while he'll say something to me like they didn't even have colored TV when he was a child, and I'm like, 'What?!'"
The couple wed in 2016.
What does Bronwyn Newport do for work?
According to her official BravoTV.com bio, the new 'Wife is "a Broadway producer and fashion influencer" with a background in the world of finance.
