Is Kyle Richards Divorced? She Clarifies Her Comments About Not Being Single
After admitting that she and Mauricio Umansky are "still figuring things out," Kyle Richards clarified her relationship status.
Is Kyle Richards divorced? The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member just shared an update on her marriage to Mauricio Umansky, and she explained why she doesn't think of herself as single.
During a recent chat with Us Weekly, Kyle confirmed that she and her estranged husband are "not divorced," but that they are "still figuring things out" in their marriage.
As a result, Kyle also said that she doesn't consider herself to be single — and she's not looking to jump into another relationship. She later clarified this comment during an Oct. 10 interview with Access Hollywood.
"I said in this issue [of the magazine] that I don't consider myself single because that implies that I'm actually looking to meet somebody, which I'm not right now," Kyle said. "So, I don't know. That's my answer."
The diamond holder also addressed how she's enjoying her life as a technically-unattached woman.
"It's treating me pretty well, I would say," she added. "Yes."
New details on Kyle Richards's marriage issues and separation from Mauricio Umansky
Elsewhere in her discussion with the outlet, Kyle revealed what it's been like for her to navigate her life without Mauricio living in their Encino home.
"I knew the day was coming, but when it happens, it’s like, 'Oh, my God, this is real,'" Kyle explained about how she felt once she learned that he moved out. "I was so emotional after he and Alexia [Umansky] both moved out. When you're a married mom of four, the house is chaotic. So it felt so different. Thank God I still have two daughters, [Sophia Umansky and Portia Umansky] at home."
Though Kyle and Mauricio are no longer together, one thing hasn't changed: The Agency founder will still appear on RHOBH. Kyle confirmed that her ex did film scenes with her for the upcoming 14th season.
"Mau shot with me quite a bit. He'll come over for dinner and it’s like nothing has changed, yet everything has changed," she said.
As Kyle has said since she first separated from her husband of 27 years, the two have never been acrimonious.
"The best way I can put it is that we’re family. It’s easy for us to get along because we never fought," she concluded. "That was not an issue in our marriage; there’s so much love there."
