Kyle Richards Reveals the 3 Things She Keeps Off Camera: "Believe It or Not..."
RHOBH's Kyle Richards opened up about what she's never been willing to feature on the show.
Kyle Richards has let The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers see some of the most vulnerable, emotional, and fun moments of her life as a 14-season veteran cast member, but there are still "a few things" that she's never let the cameras capture.
During a recent chat with Us Weekly, Kyle revealed that there are three off-limits things when she's filming the show.
"There are a few things I don’t allow, believe it or not! Showering, sitting on the toilet and sex," Kyle said before laughing. "These are things I’d like to keep off-camera."
Kyle Richards reflects on 14 years of RHOBH
As the only remaining original diamond holder on RHOBH, Kyle has shared a lot over the years, and her life looks very different now than it did on Season 1.
"It was such a different time. I had a Blackberry back then — that’s how you know the show is old!" Kyle told the outlet about filming the first season of the show, which aired in 2010.
She also revealed that before she officially signed on to join the cast, she was trepidatious.
"I didn’t want to do it because I’m an actress. But it kept coming up, and Portia [Umansky] was little, so I was like, 'I can just hang out with my kids, and they can follow me around,'" Kyle said, referring to her youngest daughter, who is now 16. "I was very naive."
Once Kyle began filming, she had doubts about how interested viewers would be in seeing her life on screen.
"[While filming] I kept going up to our showrunner and saying, 'Is this a good show? Do people want to watch this?' And he said, 'Oh yeah.' I didn’t get it," the mom of four shared with the outlet. "And now here we are."
Kyle Richards teases what's next for her
Kyle, who has been an actress since she was a child, has taken on a slew of acting and producing roles since she joined RHOBH. As she's navigating a big change in her personal life — she split from her husband of 27 years, Mauricio Umansky, in 2023 — she's putting all of her energy into her work, as well as her kids.
"I can go do whatever I want now, which is great and exciting — and sometimes a little strange. I want to focus on my daughters and my work projects," Kyle said, referring to daughters Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie, Alexia Umansky, Sophia Umansky, and Portia Umansky. "The end goal is to be happy and at peace."
