Meryl Streep Is Selling Her NYC Penthouse and You Need to See How Amazing It Is
This is what $25 million gets you.
Meryl Streep has listed her penthouse in New York City's Tribeca for $24.6 million, offering a rare glimpse inside an ultra A-list abode. Built in 2003 and purchased for $10.11 million in 2006, the four bedroom, four bathroom loft unit is located inside the River Lofts on Laight Street, overlooking the Hudson River.
Maintaining the penthouse isn't cheap, either, costing around $20,000 for combined monthly maintenance fees and real estate taxes. While it's unclear where she's headed, Streep and her husband Donald Gummer purchased a home in Pasadena, California for $3.6 million in December 2017.
What's most exciting about this property being listed, besides the opportunity for Meryl to find a new home that she loves and cherishes even more than this one, is the fact that us ordinary lookie-loos (like us!) now have a rare chance to peek inside.
That terrace though!
A large, tree-lined terrace is accessible from almost every room in the Brazilian walnut-floored house. Space is at a premium in NYC, but if you're Meryl Freaking Streep, you enjoy fantastic, sweeping river views from a luxuriously huge and well-manicured outdoor area.
Eye in the sky
Floor-to-ceiling windows bring in exquisite light and appear perched up by the clouds.
A kitchen fit for Julia Child!
The large, eat-in kitchen has enough prep and counter space to feed any size group.
Bubble baths from heaven
The four bathrooms includes at least one with a huge tub for long soaking sessions.
Who will take over this hot property? Celebrity real estate fans are now watching with anticipation.
