Fredrik Eklund's L.A. Fireplace Is SO Cozy
The Million Dollar Listing New York realtor is living his best bicoastal life.
Fredrik Eklund had an incredible year that took his family on fresh adventures in a new home. The Million Dollar Listing New York power agent became bicoastal in order to expand what was formerly his East Coast-based real estate empire into the luxury market in California. Fredrik, his husband, Derek Kaplan, and their twins, Freddy and Milla, moved into a dream home perched in the Hollywood Hills with epic views of the metropolis.
“For Fredrik and Derek’s home, we knew it was important to bring to life a true West Coast family fantasy for them, replete with vibrant colors, comfortable yet sculptural furniture, thoughtful accents, and a careful integration of their most beloved items from life back East,” Andrew Bowen, the Million Dollar Listing New York broker's designer, told Style & Living recently. “In all, it’s an intentionally significant departure from their former Manhattan residence.”
A super cute white faux fur bear rug is the perfect accessory for the family's beautiful Art Deco fireplace, which has a unique shape that almost looks like a half of a rainbow's arc. Like other parts of the house and backyard that we've seen, the fireplace (which is located in the spectacular sunken living room) has whimsy, drama and consummate coziness. Home sweet home!
