The kids aren't the only members of the Kar-Jenner crew who benefit from their family's epic party hosting skills — the adults get a piece of the action as well. After celebrating True Thompson's first birthday with a stunning unicorn and rainbow-filled bash last weekend, the Kar-Jenners got together on Thursday evening to commemorate Kourtney Kardashian with an extravagant soirée.
As to be expected, the décor at the Poosh founder's 40th birthday bash was next-level: We're talking starry lights, life-size sparklers, a full-on nightclub seating arrangement (with mirrored floors!), and a huge twinkling-light-filled tent that fit tons of A-listers.
While the event was the picture of opulence, the accents were far from stuffy. The Kardashian crew added a humorous touch to the party with customized napkins and tequila bottles featuring cheeky jokes and quotes in honor of the birthday girl.

The Entrance
Stage-sized sparklers lit up as the lady of the hour made her entrance with daughter Penelope Disick by her side. (And, of course, the sparklers were a great backdrop to the photo shoot that ensued!)
A Musical and Starry Ambience
The event was held beneath a giant clear tent, which was draped in string lights, adding an almost star-like effect to the shelter. Live musicians also serenaded guests throughout the tent.
Humorous Napkins
Naturally, plain old napkins just wouldn't do at a Kardashian bash. The napkins for the evening were customized with famous quotes relating to the 40-year-old stunner like "most interesting to look at" (a reference to the time Kim told Kourtney she's the "least interesting to look at").
Another set of napkins were embellished with Kourtney's most iconic line from Keeping up with the Kardashians: "Kim, there are people that are dying." (For those who don't remember, Kourtney said this in Season 6 of KUWTK when Kim had a bit of a freak-out moment over losing one of her diamonds earrings in the ocean.)
A Cheeky Parting Gift
Of course, the Kardashians wouldn't let their guests go home empty-handed. Don Julio tequila bottles were lined up for guests to take as boozy party favors. Kim explained on Instagram Stories guests could get the bottle engraved with Kourtney's face and "most interesting to look at," or any other design of their choosing.
