Ariana Madix Addresses Rumors About When Something About Her Will Open: "It's a Whole Situation"

Over the past year, Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney have been teasing the opening of their Parisian-inspired cafe, Something About Her, and fans have been dying to know when the sandwich shop is officially set to open.
When their opening date, which was originally set for spring 2023, started to experience delays, the Vanderpump Rules pair began updating fans via social media with a slew of hilarious posts. The most recent entertaining TikTok featured a caption that read, "Perfection takes time!"
During a recent interview, Ariana gave another update on the Something About Her opening, also speaking to rumors about the shop's delays.
When is Ariana Madix's sandwich shop Something About Her opening?
"I know that there's a lot of rumors and a lot of talk and a lot of trolling on the internet, but I'm telling you, we are opening soon," Ariana said on TalkShopLive on October 5. The blonde beauty noted that while the "inside is so beautiful," she and her business partners had to "deal with this outside stuff," including nixing the patio that previously sat out front.
"I know people are like, 'But what do you mean you already got rid of the patio once the city said to get rid of the patio?' but now that the entire facade of the building has changed, we have to have an awning completely redone to fit the new facade of the building. But in order to do that, you have to have a permit for the awning. You have to permit the sign. It's a process."
She continued: "'Open a little cute sandwich shop,' they said, 'It'll be fun!', they said. And then you get through all the red tape and everything and you realize, oh, OK, it's not so simple as making sandwiches and decorating the inside. It's a whole situation with all of it, but we are plugging away and we will be open soon, I promise."
Ariana Madix discusses her new cocktail book
In addition to detailing the opening of Something About Her, Ariana also talked about her new cocktail book, Single AF Cocktails: Drinks for Bad B*tches, set to be released on December 5.
"I have my own cocktail book and tell my own story. This is essentially my breakup album, and it's really exciting to be able to put it out there because I really like to express myself creatively and heal through creative expression and this is my version of doing that," she shared during the TalkShopLive session. "I definitely wrote this book at a time in my life when I was feeling a lot of raw emotion, so you'll definitely be seeing a very vulnerable side of me in this book."
Ariana went on to say the process of writing the book was "very fast" and sometimes it made her nervous to considering how she was putting herself out there.
"I think that right now it's really fun and exciting. I think as we get closer to December 5th, I'm going to start getting really, really nervous about people actually seeing it and reading it and hearing my words," she added. "And so that'll be scary, but that's okay. We've done scary things before, so we'll just keep doing scary things."
