Inside Scheana Shay's Self-Isolation With BF Brock Davies in Her Palm Springs Home
The Vanderpump Rules star tells us about hunkering down at her Palm Springs abode with her love.
For Scheana Shay, being homebound with her boyfriend, Brock Davies, definitely has its perks. As the Vanderpump Rules star exclusively shared with BravoTV.com: "Brock fixes everything."
As they continue to stay hunkered down at Scheana's Palm Springs house in self-isolation amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the couple is putting finishing touches on the abode, which she purchased last year, and removing some older furniture from it as well. While fans of the show may remember Scheana's adoration of ex Rob Valletta's ability to hang a TV in under seven minutes, it seems Brock may be giving him a run for his money when it comes to timed DIY tasks. "You know that he took my bunk beds apart in under seven minutes?" Scheana joked. "No, he said he has to do everything in under six minutes. Seven's too close."
According the Scheana, her love's skillset carries over into the kitchen as well. "Brock is a really good cook. He does really good pastas," she said, recalling a recent angel hair pasta dish with chicken. "Every time [he cooks a new dish] it's as good if not better."
Still, no extended stay would be complete without Scheana's famous enchiladas. "I did four big trays, just so I had that stocked up for us. Those go so quick. Between the four of us, those went in like two days," she said, noting that her sister, Cortney, and her boyfriend, Justice, are also staying at the home with them. "I [also] bought these really good sun-dried tomato tortillas and I’ve been making chicken caesar wraps for lunch for us every single day."
She added: "We're just trying to keep cooking a lot and not waste any food whatsoever. We're making sure we eat everything before it goes bad."
To keep active, Scheana and Brock, who is an owner of F45 Training studios, have been doing bodyweight workouts on Instagram Live so their followers can virtually join them. "We’re doing them now twice per day," Scheana explained. "We did just the second one of the day and it was inch worms, bear crawls, sit ups, push ups, and burpees. There are actually a lot of things you can do."
"It’s a very good workout. I prefer to have heavy weights and be in the gym and do more floor workouts, not the high intensity," she continued. "But that’s all we can do for now. It’s working."
For those like Scheana who prefer to add some heft to their exercise while homebound, she recommends getting creative with some stocked-up fridge items. "Get a case of White Claw or Rockstar [Energy Drink] and use that as weight!"
While she notes the group has been keeping busy at home with work, when they do decide to lounge, each of them has a different unwinding activity of choice. "I have a ton of board games and we’ve watched a couple of movies," she said. "There was one night Brock was playing Fortnite in the bedroom, my sister and Justice were playing Nintendo Switch in the living room, and then I was watching my DVR in the den. We can all do our own things in separate rooms as well."
Temporarily living together has been "different" for the couple, says Scheana, who is based in Marina del Rey while Brock mainly resides in San Diego, but, she jokes, "We haven’t killed each other yet, so that’s good!"
"It hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows," she admitted. "But I wouldn't have it any other way."
