Eric Adjepong has taken on an exciting new role with Bowery Farming.
"We're excited to share the news that Top Chef finalist, Eric Adjepong, is joining Bowery as a new Culinary Advisor," reads a post on the company's Instagram page. "Chef Eric is a natural fit for Bowery--his passion for sustainability and creativity in the kitchen has us looking forward to the flavorful future we'll be cooking up together."
Bravo's Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio, who is involved with the company as an investor and advisor, shared the news to his Instagram Story, writing: "Welcome aboard."
With a mission to "re-imagine farming from the ground up," the company's website explains that "Bowery builds smart, indoor farms that create the ideal growing environment for plants to thrive. Grown indoors, plants are protected from things like inclement weather and pests, meaning that Bowery can grow produce year-round with zero pesticides."
This is just one of many exciting new ventures for the chef. In October 2020, it was announced that the Top Chef franchise will be expanding with a new series, Top Chef Amateurs. While Gail Simmons will serve as host, the culinary competition will also feature Eric, Richard Blais, Jennifer Carroll, Shirley Chung, Stephanie Cmar, Tiffany Derry, Joe Flamm, Gregory Gourdet, Melissa King, Kwame Onwuachi, Dale Talde, and Isaac Toups.
