Ashley Darby Just Had a Breast Augmentation and She’s “Feeling So Good”
The Real Housewives of Potomac mom explained her decision to have another plastic surgery.
If you want some real talk, Ashley Darby’s Instagram is a good place to find it. The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member recently shared a candid post about her “long” chin hairs. And in a new Story, she opened up about her implants, breastfeeding, and an unfortunate mixup involving heavy pain meds. Buckle up: Ashley is baring it all!
The post shows the yoga buff makeup-free in a white hoodie, relaxing at home. “I did get a breast augmentation surgery yesterday,” she announced. This wasn’t a snap decision, but one that the mother of two has been mulling over since she had her second child back in 2021.
“I was holding off on [the surgery],” Ashley continued in her Story. “I’ve been wanting it [since] after I breastfed Dylan and things were hanging down to my waist. But I was told that if I got any sort of augmentation that I would not be able to breastfeed if I had children in the future. So that deterred me.”
But — according to Ashley’s MD — there is a loophole. “My doctor said actually as long as I just do an implant swap, instead of a breast lift where they really readjust things, that I’d be fine. So I did an implant swap. I was due.” Ashley first got breast implants in 2013, according to her Story.
Luckily, recovery is going well. Ashley shared that she’s been able to play with her kids and put them to bed, even though she can’t comfortably pick them up. “I sit down on the floor to hug them and play with them, so that’s a little different,” she said. “But yeah, your girl’s feeling so good! Giving myself one more day to take it easy. And yeah, I just did this for myself and I feel good!”
Later, Ashley returned to her Stories with an update. She was feeling some pain by then but was hoping to avoid taking pain medication unless she really felt she needed it. She had accidentally taken Percocet the day before when her brother handed her the wrong pill. “I was on cloud nine and three-quarters,” she shared. “I’m like this is why I don’t take pain pills. Your girl was on air.”
