Ashley Darby Is Showing the Results of Her Latest Cosmetic Procedure: "It's Gonna Look So Cute!"
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member detailed what prompted her latest beauty move.
Over the years, Ashley Darby has treated herself to a variety of beauty regimens and cosmetic procedures. Just recently, we caught up with The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member as she took on microblading her eyebrows, a process she described as "virtually painless."
Moreover, earlier this year, Ashley opened up about getting breast implants. “I did get a breast augmentation surgery yesterday,” she shared in a February Instagram Story video. “I was holding off on [the surgery]… I’ve been wanting it [since] after I breastfed Dylan, and things were hanging down to my waist. But I was told that if I got any sort of augmentation that I would not be able to breastfeed if I had children in the future. So that deterred me.”
More recently, Ashley took on another cosmetic procedure, this time focusing on her lips.
Ashley Darby reveals she got a "lip flip"
Hopping on her Instagram Stories on October 11 to share the details of her latest beauty move.
"So I decided today to get a little lip flip," Ashley began in the video. "I have never had Botox in any capacity ever, but this wonderful makeup artist whom I love and cherish so much...he suggested that I might look cute with a little lip flip because...I do want fuller lips. I use lip plumper lip gloss and stuff."
She continued: "I went to Dr. Chang's office today for my check-up...it's been eight months since my breast augmentation. I also talked to [the physician's assistant] about getting it and [...] I said, 'Sign me up!' So yeah. I got a lip flip today. We'll see how it's gonna be drinking out of a straw and stuff but...I'm sure it's gonna look so cute!"
Ashley also tagged Dr. Chang's practice, Congressional Plastic Surgery, in her Story, showing off the results of her lip flip by bringing the camera close up.
What is a "lip flip?"
According to the Cleveland Clinic's website, a lip flip is a "nonsurgical procedure" that uses botulinum toxin injections in the corners of your mouth to make your lips appear fuller. The injections "[relax] the muscles around your upper lip," which in turn creates a "flip" upward, making them appear a little larger than normal.
In contrast, lip fillers use hyaluronic acid in certain or all parts of the lips to add volume. Per Cleveland Clinic's website, a lip flip can "generally look more natural than lip fillers."
