After “A Lot of Discussion,” Ashley Darby Defends Her Ultra Short WWHL Dress

Whether she’s wearing a gown with a high slit or a barely-there denim dress, Ashley Darby is never one to shy away from pulling off a sexy look. Most recently, The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member showed off one of her most daring ensembles yet when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on January 8 in a dress that had the host himself in awe.

Ashley wore a custom Riley Knoxx Couture ultra-minidress featuring gold draped details. “Ashley, you need to stand up and show the people what you’re wearing,” Andy said, leading Ashley to reveal, “It was custom made just for you.”

No doubt, Ashley looked stunning in the sultry ’fit, but a few social media fashion critics thought otherwise. This didn’t sit well with the RHOP mom, so she decided to take to TikTok to clap back at the naysayers.

“Hey, I don’t usually do videos like this where I talk to the camera,” she said in the video. Ashley went on to thank all her supporters on the app before she put the haters of her ensemble in their place.

“There is a lot of discussion about my dress that I wore to Watch What Happens Live,” Ashley explained. “First, that dress was custom made for the gal, specific to my measurements — to a T.” Ashley clarified that she felt the dress was a “little long” when Riley presented it to her, which prompted her to ask if she could “shorten it.”

“I loved the length. I thought it was great,” she continued. “I understand that a lot of you didn’t feel the same way, but I had a bodysuit on…I loved the dress. It is what it is.”

Ashley’s minidress wasn’t the only thing she discussed in the video. She also set the record straight on a popular TikTok dance trend she participates in often.
