Heather Dubrow Reveals What She Really Did with the Money from Selling Her Home for $55 Million
The Real Housewives of Orange County mom shared how a "new project" sprung from her recent home sale.
As fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County saw on Season 17, Heather and Terry Dubrow sold their OC home for $55 million before moving on to another property.
“Heather and I have put our blood, sweat, and tears into this house,” Terry said during Season 17 Episode 13. “I used to feel like I wanted to be buried in the backyard. I never wanted to leave. I strangely feel like it’s not mine anymore, and I’m absolutely OK with it.”
“I just want to thank this house in 55 million different ways,” Terry added. “I’m gonna miss it very much.”
During BravoCon 2023, Heather shared new details about her recent home sale, revealing what she and her husband did with the money from the sale.
What did Heather Dubrow do with the money from her house sale?
At the BravoCon 2023 panel "The Way We OC It," Heather gathered with her RHOC castmates for some tea-spilling and Season 17 reflection. During the conversation, moderator Danny Pellegrino asked Heather about the aforementioned home sale, questioning if the New York native made any "extravagant purchases" from the sale.
While Gina Kirschenheiter playfully urged Heather to show off the enormous diamond sparkler she got from Terry in their past engagement, Heather got real about what she really did with the money.
“Well, actually, we were looking for a new project to do and so we bought this really cool, iconic house in Beverly Hills that we’re redoing and it’s a bit of a project," Heather shared during the panel. "It’s exciting so that’s what we did.”
Additionally, when Pellegrino asked Heather if she should have told the other women about the house sale (a sensitive subject during Season 17), she stood her ground: "Definitely not," she responded, consistently saying "No" as the ladies disagreed.
"We wanted to celebrate!" Tamra Judge jumped in as Heather retorted, "Oh, I tried to celebrate with you! I tried!"
Heather Dubrow's update on her next house
Prior to BravoCon 2023, Heather teased her forthcoming new home on the RHOC Season 17 reunion.
During the sit-down, Gina said she was going to "miss" Heather's Orange County home, to which the brunette beauty replied, "I have news: There's a better one coming."
Moreover, in July, Heather teased more details about her and Terry's next house. “BREAKING NEWS! Watch out Beverly Hills, The Dubrow dream house is officially underway!” Heather captioned an Instagram post that leaned into a Barbie-related content trend at the time. “We are so excited to redo this legendary home (should take about 3 years…)”
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Heather added, “It’s so exciting! We tried to buy five or six properties all over Cabo, Newport Beach, Beverly Hills, Palm Springs, and the universe landed us here, at the most iconic Hollywood estate,” she said.
