Meghan King Edmonds' Towering Great Room Is Too Fancy for This Family Member
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum is building quite the estate in St. Louis.
Meghan King Edmonds has been sharing tantalizing sneak peeks at the new home in St. Louis that she and husband Jim Edmonds have been constructing from the ground up. The Real Housewives of Orange County alums are building Meghan a closet so big that they actually have date nights in it, and are including a host of sporting activities for former pro baseball player Jim, including a bowling alley, a basketball court, and a batting cage.
What's been most impressive so far is the sheer scale of the home, including a tall, window-filled great room that's going to serve as the family's "fancy" room. Read: It's too posh for one important family member.
"The Great Room in our new house," she wrote on Instagram, showing off the room in progress. "We finally decided on a paint color that Jimmy created himself after a lot of diluting. We envision this room to be the focal point of our home, light and bright. @therealgirlygirl will not be allowed in this room according to my husband, but she will have a ton of other spaces to run and play- and maybe even get lost! #edmondsnewbuild."
Enough commenters were wondering why Jim wouldn't let their dog, Girly Girl, into the great room that Meghan later added a P.S.
"Edit: Girly Girl isn’t allowed in this room bc it’s our 'fancy' room. Even though this isn’t practical that’s what we’re doing. Lots of people do this whether you like it or not. She’s allowed in the Family Room which is where the kids and everyone will gather 90% of the time. And plus the house is a monstrosity, it’s not like she’s being caged bc one room is off limits. Come on, people."
Regardless of whether the room is off-limits to four-legged family members, it's going to be stunning when finished.
