Kelly Dodd has made one thing very clear in recent months: She loves boyfriend Rick Leventhal’s New York City bachelor pad (almost as much as she loves him!). So, it’s no surprise that when the Fox News senior correspondent decided to propose, he did so right at home. As we learned last night from Kelly herself, The Real Housewives of Orange County mom is indeed engaged. “I can’t believe I just got engaged !! @rickleventhal you are my Prince and my dream come true!!! #love #engaged #myprince,” she shared with her 680,000 followers on Instagram alongside a photo of the couple snuggling outside on Rick’s patio.
In a video shared to her stories, Kelly revealed the proposal actually took place outside — despite the frigid Manhattan temps! — on Rick’s swanky patio. “Look at that, look at how he did it! So romantic, Dom [Pérignon],” Kelly shouted, while showing Rick’s sleek fire pit, three beautiful white hydrangea floral arrangements, and two glasses of Champagne.
This isn’t the first time the couple have spent time out there; just last month, Kelly shared more videos of the fire pit and views, saying, “So pretty outside here. I love it here, Rick,” to which Rick responded, “I love you being here.”
And while Rick clearly put some time and effort into having everything just right when he popped the question, really all he needed was that 24/7 view of the Empire State Building.
