Is RHOC's Gina Kirschenheiter Still Living with Her Soon-to-Be Ex?

The Real Housewives of Orange County mom of three opens up about how she's getting through her divorce.

By Patricia Cunningham

It’s been a rough and tumble year for The Real Housewives of Orange County mom Gina Kirschenheiter. After filing for divorce from her husband Matt earlier this year and requesting sole physical custody and joint legal custody of their three children, (Nicholas, 5, Sienna, 4, and Luca, 2), she put her Coto de Caza house on the market, only to reconsider a short time later and take the home off the market. So what is Gina’s current living situation and is she still living with soon-to-be-ex Matt?

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

Not surprisingly, the answer is complicated! The cast newbie recently stopped by Bravo HQ to chat with Home & Design and told us, “I’m still living in Coto in the same house that I share with Matt,” she revealed. “Matt still has the same apartment in Woodland Hills, he renewed his lease I think for another eight or ten months or something, and then I still have the casita, so I’m still casita-living [on the weekends].”

Living apart during the week — with Gina in Coto and Matt in Los Angeles for work — and then spending time together with the kids on weekend is not something out of the ordinary for the two. In fact, it was their living situation prior to the divorce and what led to tension in the marriage, according to Gina

But as the former couple are dedicated to moving forward amicably with the best interests of the kids at the forefront, Gina and Matt have decided not to change things, at least for the short term.

“And you know what, it’s working for us,” Gina adds. “It’s kind of annoying to have to kind of pack up and move here and move there, but I’d rather it be annoying for me than annoying for the kids. And Matt has to do it regardless because he works there and the kids are here, so it’s just kind of the new normal for us.”
