See Inside Vicki Gunvalson's New, North Carolina Lake House
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum bought a vacation property sight unseen — and was pretty pleased when she finally saw it in person.
Vicki Gunvalson has declared 2020 the year of following her heart and her head. With this mantra in mind, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum has made some bold moves regarding real estate. She's put her longtime Coto de Caza home on the market, purchased a condo in Puerto Vallarta, and — without even seeing it in person — picked up another vacation property North Carolina, where her daughter Briana lives.
In an Instagram Story, the insurance pro documented herself walking into her new lake home for the first time. "So excited to finally see this vacation/rental House I bought online without seeing it," she wrote. Luckily, the blind real-estate date seemingly went well. "It's everything I thought it would be," Vicki shared.
Her Stories also offered a peek into the lofty cabin. Filled with natural light, Vicki's North Carolina getaway has an open kitchen, a cozy fireplace — and, admittedly, a few rooms that still need to be tweaked to suit her taste. Offering a peek of one of the bedrooms, Vicki shared that she'd be ripping out the carpet; she also plans to update the bathrooms and install a new washer and dryer.
But the outdoorsy amenities can't be beat. Walking down to a lakeside dock with her grandson, Vicki enthused: "This is really cool; they got cute little benches everywhere!" She added: "Look at that — it's got a spot to put some boats. Gotta get me a boat!"
