Luann Had a Very Unexpected Reaction to Dorinda's New and Improved Fish Room
Luann made an epic return to the controversial sleeping space at her RHONY castmate's Berkshires abode.
In a record-scratch moment on The Real Housewives of New York City's July 9 episode, Dorinda Medley told Luann de Lesseps that she would be staying in the "fish room" at her newly-renovated Blue Stone Manor. Yes, that fish room.
For those who need a refresher: the sleeping space, once adorned with three giant fish mounts, was previously the source of an explosive fight when Luann declared: “If I’m in the fish room I’m gonna freak out." Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan showed their support for Luann at the time, with Ramona asking: “Who wants to wake up with a big fish?” and Sonja shouting: “The fish room sucks!”
Now, after the home suffered nearly $1 million in damages from a flood, Dorinda's renovation of the Berkshires property gave the infamous fish room a whole new look — and Luann's reaction to the redone space was epic.
As she noted how "amazing" the room looked, Luann laughed hysterically when she saw a giant shark that was previously mounted on the wall now laying in her bed. "I get to sleep with the shark!" she said through laughter. "It's my friend!"
Clearly happier to see the shark in this moment than she was in years past, Luann climbed in bed and gave it a kiss as she said: "I missed you, darling."
In addition to taking the fish off of the walls, Dorinda also swapped the green-painted walls for modern wallpaper and updated the space with chic curtains.
Luann wasn't the only guest of Dorinda's getting in on some fun with the fish. After the big room reveal, Dorinda led Ramona to her bedroom for the weekend, which also had a giant fish waiting for her in the bed. "I've got a friend for you, too," Dorinda quipped, "I know you don't like to be lonely."
