Jennifer Aydin Throws Lavish Sweet 16 Bash for Her Daughter Gabby (PICS)
The RHONJ mom also shared a sweet message for her little girl’s special day.
When it comes to celebrations, Jennifer Aydin clearly subscribes to the “more is more” philosophy.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom has thrown some of the most extravagant parties over the years, including her casino night birthday soiree, an epic Halloween bash, and 50th birthday celebration for her husband, Dr. Bill Aydin, that took place in early June.
Less than two weeks after her hubby’s ultra-lavish affair, Jennifer returned to party host mode and threw an over-the-top Sweet 16 for her daughter Gabby. The self-described “one-upper” took to Instagram on Saturday, June 10, to provide a thorough look at what the event entailed.
Jennifer shows off stunning decor and three-tiered cake
Jennifer began by sharing a video of Gabby’s incredible birthday cake by New Jersey’s Palermo Bakery — a favorite among the Jersey ’Wives. The three-tiered dessert was decorated with light pink frosting, elegant lace patterns, stunning drape details, and blush rosettes.
“Oh my god, this is so, so beautiful,” Jennifer said in an Instagram video featuring the cake. “Wow. You guys really outdid yourselves, Palermo. Look at this. Wow. Gabby’s Sweet 16 cake. Are you ready for it?”
Jennifer then turned the camera toward her home’s grand staircase, which was covered in cascading pastel balloons by event styling company Balloons VIP. The Jersey ’Wife then took her IG followers past the home’s foyer and inside the great room. The space went heavy on the Marie Antoinette vibes, as it featured a lovely Viennese table, lush flower arrangements, and, of course, an assortment of decadent treats by Cookie Boutique and Platinum House of Sweets.
Party guests, including RHONJ’s Dolores Catania and her boyfriend, Paul “Paulie” Connell, were also treated to a Shake Shack food truck and a Curbside Confections candy truck.
Jennifer’s Heartwarming Birthday Message to Gabby
Days before Gabby’s Sweet 16 party, Jennifer shared a heartfelt message for her eldest daughter. The Instagram post featured a collection of photos from the teen’s childhood and was soundtracked by Bruno Mars’ “Just the Way You Are.”
“When this song first came out, I would sing it to my Gabby every time she was in the car,” Jennifer captioned the post. “Happy Sweet 16th my [gorgeous Gabby]. You’re Amazing! Just the way you are. Happy Birthday baby! Can’t wait to celebrate you! Hope you don’t yell at me about some of these pics!”
How did Gabby’s 16th birthday party compare to her brother’s?
This isn’t the first time the Aydins have hosted an epic 16th birthday bash. During a 2021 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the host asked Jennifer, “What’s the most you’ve spent on one of your kid’s birthday parties?”
“Justin just turned 16,” she said, after joking about having no credit limit. “We got two penthouse suites at the Dream [Downtown] Hotel. I was out about $15,000.”
