Did Dolores Catania Keep the Porsche David Principe Bought for Her?
The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member shared where David's extravagant gift is now after their breakup.
On Season 11 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, David Principe gifted Dolores Catania a Porsche, and her castmates had some strong thoughts about the lavish gesture. Following their split, Dolores has opened up about many aspects of their breakup, but one burning question has remained: Where is the car now?
On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen's February 22 episode, the titular host asked on behalf of a viewer, "Did Dolores keep the Porsche that David bought her?" and without missing a beat, Dolores said, "Yeah," and added with a laugh, "I mean, come on."
As viewers will remember, David also built a new house with the intention of Dolores moving in. Because Dolores wasn't getting the level of commitment she wanted from David, she ultimately decided that rather than moving into the new house, she would renovate her home and move into a temporary townhouse rental instead. While speaking to her castmates on the February 15 episode of RHONJ, she explained a bit more about the decision. “I’m supposed to be your partner in things, but he didn’t bring me into his life. Like, I moved into that townhouse by myself, and I said, ‘Dave, please don’t let it go to this,'" she said. "I didn’t have much of a choice anymore.”
In an interview during the episode, she explained that while she appreciated David's extravagant gifts, she needed more of a commitment to stay in the relationship. "Yes, you bought me a house. Yes, you gave me a car for my 50th [birthday]," she said. "But what if tomorrow something happens and there needs to be a life-changing decision. Who am I?"
