See Inside Todd Tucker’s New Jersey Apartment: “It Could Be a Gem”
Kandi Burruss’ husband showed The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members his “infamous” other home that he previously shared with an ex.
On the May 22 episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Todd Tucker took Kandi Burruss and their castmates to see his “infamous” New Jersey apartment. Although Kandi wasn't exactly interested in keeping the condo that Todd previously shared with an ex, their loved ones saw an exciting renovation opportunity.
As the group arrived at the Fort Lee, New Jersey, home, Todd warned, “Be open-minded,” — and Kenya Moore was just that. While looking around the unfurnished apartment’s kitchen, living space, bathrooms, wet bar, and private rooftop, Kenya immediately had some big ideas for the apartment. “Hire me, Todd,” she quipped. “I would put a beautiful fireplace… open this kitchen up… put in tons of beautiful light.” Her other recommendations for Todd included replacing “all the windows and doors,” spending $25,000 to swap the spiral staircase for an elevator, and adding a “pergola situation,” grass, and grill to the rooftop.
“Let me go in there and redo that condo,” Kenya said with a laugh in an interview. “Gotta demo the bathrooms, you gotta demo the kitchen, you gotta demo the floors... With this size condo, you need about $100,000 to do it properly.”
Shereé Whitfield, who also knows a thing or two about extensive renovations, agreed that the home had a long way to go. “I can kind of see Todd’s point in keeping the place, but it definitely does not compare to Chateau Shereé,” she said. “It doesn’t even compare to Marlo's plot of dirt.”
Also never one to sugarcoat her thoughts, Marlo declared: “They’ve got a nice view, but all of this sh-t needs to be redone.”
Still, Todd was hopeful about the home’s potential. As they left, he told Kandi, “It could be a gem.”
