Kandi Burruss Shares Her True Feelings About Todd Tucker’s New Jersey Condo
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member didn’t hold back when discussing her husband’s Garden State home that he once shared with an ex.
On the May 8 episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Todd Tucker revealed that he owns a New Jersey condo that he previously shared with an ex. While he opened up about his desire to spend time in the Garden State home with Kandi Burruss, she wasn’t exactly eager about the idea. Still, as the cast members headed to New York City on the show’s May 22 episode, Kandi was open to visiting the apartment — but she didn’t hold back while explaining her resistant feelings.
“That is like your old place from one of your old relationships,” she shared with Todd, to which he replied, “This is our place to go fix up space for our kids. When we’re in New York, we could actually go there for blocks of time.”
Kandi elaborated in an interview, explaining, “Todd wanted me to feel excited about this condo. It’s almost like him re-wrapping a gift that he had [given] to an ex-girlfriend, and now I’m supposed to get excited about it. Like, stop trying to force it so that we have to go and stay there.”
However, as she prepared to go to the apartment with their castmates, she was aiming for a new outlook on the home. “I’m trying to be in a better headspace,” she admitted. “Maybe my girls will help me look at the situation in a better light.”
Well, it seems she’s not there just yet. After checking out the condo, Kandi declared, “I just don’t see what would be my purpose of wanting to come stay here.” However, she added, “I’m trying to be supportive.”
