Marlo Hampton wears many professional hats, including entrepreneur, stylist, and designer... but now she can add teacher to the list! Currently raising her two young nephews, Michael, 12, and William, 11, The Real Housewives of Atlanta friend answers to “mumty” (that’s “mum” + “aunty”) inside her gorgeous Atlanta townhouse (which, by the way, she received as a gift 10 years ago).
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Marlo — like millions of parents throughout the United States — is forced to homeschool her nephews in an effort to curb the spread of the disease. Marlo is setting up school time atop her marble kitchen island, with the boys working from her wild-print counter stools. Yesterday, after spending time on a worksheet about Madame C.J. Walker, Marlo was grilling William to tell her more about the historical figure: She was truly embodying a teacher. “Tell me five things about her, quick, go!” Marlo joked with him.
And what a jokester she is. In a hilarious video posted on March 11 to Instagram, Marlo had the boys wake up and get dressed for school… only to reveal that it had been canceled. “You know how you always prank me, I just pranked you this morning, there’s no school today,” she said while laughing out loud, adding, “I am the prank queen. Go get some beauty rest, my love, I’ll wake you up in a few.”
