Whitney Rose Says Rihanna Told Her That She and Heather Gay Are Her Favorite 'Wives
The RHOSLC cast member also shared some fun details about her interactions with the pop superstar.
It's no secret that Rihanna has long been a Bravo superfan. The pop superstar has been outspoken about enjoying The Real Housewives of New York City, and even shared a drink with Kathy Hilton from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, who attended Rihanna's Met Gala after party this year.
But Rihanna's latest communication with the 'Wives still came as a bit of a surprise, as it was recently revealed that she shares a fondness for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member Whitney Rose.
"Who have you become close to in other cities of Housewives that we might be surprised to know?" host Andy Cohen asked Whitney during her October 31 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
"Can I say someone that is not a Housewife but I really want to be on the [RHOSLC] reunion?" asked Whitney, to which Andy replied, "Sure."
"Rihanna," said Whitney. The RHOSLC mom added that, not only has she traded direct messages back-and-forth with the pop superstar on social media, but Rihanna also told her that her "all-time favorite duo" is Whitney and Heather Gay.
Andy then asked if Whitney and Heather were close to each other during childhood, as the pair grew up together and have been open about being third cousins.
"No," responded Whitney, "So Heather and I, actually — this is so Utah — didn't find out we were cousins until we were friends." She added that it wasn't until Heather's father passed away that they explored their genealogical backgrounds and found out they were related. Whitney also recently showed love to her cousin (and friend) on Instagram, posting a sweet selfie of both her and Heather.
"No caption needed," Whitney wrote, alongside a tornado emoji. She also added the hastags "#badweather" and "#cousins" in the caption, to which Rihanna replied in the comments, "It's the hashtags for me Lolol." Heather also chimed in, commenting, "Love you so much!!!" along with her own tornado emoji.
And the tornado emojis are, of course, a reference to the notorious "Whitney and Heather Bad Weather" nickname by none other than RHOSLC cast member Lisa Barlow, who came up with it during the Season 1 reunion when she referred to Heather and Whitney as, “Whitney, Heather, bad weather, tornado!”
While in the Clubhouse, Whitney also took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo with the "Whitney, Heather, bad weather" costume that made an appearance during the Halloween-themed WWHL episode.
