Whitney Rose Reveals the "Touchy Story" Behind Her Beautiful Engagement Ring (EXCLUSIVE)
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member shared new details on her "really meaningful" diamond ring from husband Justin Rose.
When Justin Rose proposed to his now-wife, Whitney Rose, he gifted her with a gorgeous diamond engagement ring. However, it's not the sparkler she wears today.
"I used to have this big, beautiful oval, and I lost it," Whitney told The Daily Dish on November 6. "It’s kind of a touchy story. [My daughter] Bobbie was two, and she loved to wear my jewelry and she called them 'pretties.' She was throwing a fit [and] we were in this nice sushi restaurant, so I put it in my pocket to hide it from her so she’d stop asking for my 'pretty.' So I lost my original engagement ring."
Now, Whitney wears another stunning engagement ring in its place. "I’m an old-school girly, so it's actually yellow-gold. I just dipped it to become white gold, for me. You can dip it," she explained. "I love tradition, I like old-school, so I have [a] baguette[-shaped stone] and pavé [diamonds]. I specifically love my engagement ring."
"This one is really special because Justin gave this to me after I had our son, Brooks," Whitney continued. "And I had nearly lost my life when I delivered Brooks, so this was a really meaningful, just the way that he presented it and the meaning behind it."
As the couple approaches their 15-year anniversary ahead of the holiday season, Whitney has her next ring in mind.
"Since it’s our 15-year anniversary, [I] would love something on this side of my hands," she quipped. "Even owning a jewelry business, [I would] still love a diamond from my husband."
Whitney Rose discusses her marriage to Justin Rose
Further in our conversation, Whitney shared more details about navigating marriage with her husband of almost 15 years.
"Marriage is up and down. Relationships are up and down," she shared. "I think the key is communication."
The Utah mom further spoke about how she and Justin navigate their relationship using the analogy of a book.
"You’re not always gonna be on the same page, but you’re lucky if you’re in the same chapter, and just stay in the same book," she said. "Just as long as you’re staying in the same book. And the moment that you’re on the same page, cherish those [moments], 'cause those moments are what keep you going."
