Bronwyn Newport Clears Up Misconceptions About Her Marriage to Todd: “I Hate That…”

Bronwyn Newport is regretting the anniversary speech that she made during The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5, Episode 9. The newest RHOSLC housewife hosted some of her fellow cast members in Palm Springs to celebrate the 10th anniversary of when she met her husband, Todd Bradley.

Now Bronwyn is shedding new light on that moment and taking fans inside her marriage to Todd. She took to Instagram on Wednesday, Nov. 13, where she posted a series of photos and videos of her and Todd from the Season 5 trip. In the caption, she apologized to her husband for her behavior and noted all of the things she loves about him.

"I hate that I put you in a position where you were uncomfortable on this trip and not able to be your best self and I hate that I had a part in showing our relationship as anything but what it really is," she wrote. "What a wonderful 10 years of fun, laughter, happiness, and sticking by each other through ups and downs!

"Unfortunately, that was not my best honored by my girlfriends arguing and my comebacks that only made things worse," she continued. "I regret my awkward attempts at using self deprecating humor in a toast at such a special night."

Bronwyn continued, noting that instead of making sarcastic remarks about their marriage, she should have said: "I love Todd deeply, he makes me laugh, he pushes me to be my best, and I couldn't be happier to have him in my life. We have good days, and some bad like most married couples....but I would choose him every time!" 

RHOSLC cast member, Whitney Rose, took to the comments of the post, where she thanked Bronwyn for hosting. "Thank you inviting us on your anniversary trip! I am sure you regret it," she wrote. "It was next level."

"Next year we'll celebrate alone I think haha!" Bronwyn wrote in reply to Whitney.

As previously stated, Bronwyn made a very sarcastic speech at her anniversary dinner during RHOSLC Season 5 Episode 9. The mom of one stated that her marriage to Todd was like the weather, "miserable but beautiful." "Obviously, I adore Todd, I don't want to bore everyone with the reasons — actually I can, there's only two," she said. "No, there's too many things I like about Todd," she continued, noting that his black card is one of them.

"We have tons of fun together, he has made me a better person, everything is so wonderful, and I feel that way about so many of you...and I think we have good days, we have bad days, and we hope that the good and the bad are fun at the very least. Or, at least a good story at the end of it. So maybe to a good story!" Bronwyn concluded.

Meredith Marks, however, thought that the speech was just a bit odd. "Look, I don't know that much about Bronwyn and Todd's relationship, but it feels like there is a mild tension there," she noted. "I say a mild tension, but I don't even know if that's the right word. It's just an unusual engagement with each other."
