What Kristen Taekman Has Been Doing Since RHONY: "A Completely Different Person"
The model and fashion blogger returns to Bravo with other former New York City 'Wives for The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
We’re here to catch up on the life of former New York Housewife Kristen Taekman now that she’s back for The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 4.
Kristen, who appeared on The Real Housewives of New York City for seasons 6 and 7, announced she was stepping down as a Housewife in 2015, stating she wanted to shift her focus onto her growing beauty and fashion career. As seen in the RHUGT Season 4 premiere, the mother of daughter Kingsley, 11, and son Cash, 15, has also devoted herself to her family.

Where is Kristen Taekman living now?
Kristen left the East Coast for the West Coast. These days, Kristen is living her best life in Calabasas, California, home to some big celebrity names.
“What are the odds of me going to St. Barts with these women after we were just there?” Kristen wondered aloud to her husband, Josh Taekman, referencing a recent trip the happy couple did.
But as for the women, Kristen said it had been eight years since seeing the bunch (though she had yet to meet Kelly Killoran Bensimon, who appeared on the RHONY series for seasons 2, 3, and 4). With all the time passed, Taekman pondered if she’d be remembered well.
“People are going to be like, ‘Who’s that Kristen girl?’” Kristen told RHUGT producers. “Oh, my god, it was so long ago, I feel like I barely remember.”
Kristen joins Kelly, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, and Dorinda Medley as the New York women jet set to St. Barts in the Caribbean.
Giving fans an update on RHUGT, Kristen said she is “completely a different person” these days.
After having dual roles with the franchise, the model and her husband, Josh — whom she married in 2004, before the days of RHONY — chose to pack their bags and head to the Golden State.
“We moved out of Manhattan to a suburb, but the suburb’s Los Angeles,” Kristen told producers. “It was either that or the Upper West Side, and I was like, ‘Ugh, no. We’ll move to L.A.’”
Kristen Taekman on Her Family Life
Viewers saw Kristen with her family while at her California digs, packing for the trip and wondering what would happen to Cash’s starry hairdo (colored bottled blond with black star prints) while she was away.
There’s been no report on how Cash’s hair looks since RHUGT filming wrapped, but Kristen did dish on what life has been like since leaving New York.
“I’ve just pretty much been a mom,” Kristen told producers. “I call it ‘Momming really hard.’”
Anyone visiting Kristen’s Instagram page won’t have to scroll for long before finding bunches of family-oriented photos, including couples’ Halloween costumes (when she and Josh dressed as mermaid and merman) and family trips along the Italian coast.
Kristen also hasn’t slowed down in the world of fashion, as seen in a ton of photoshoots on Insta and her blog, Kristen Taekman’s Last Night’s Look. There, fans can read up on fashion trends and beauty advice from the former ‘Wife.
The most recent was self-styled as “the ultimate guide to fall fashion,” featuring photos of a chic Taekman in an array of autumnal snaps, including poses in suede boots, denim skirts, and oversized sweaters.
Now she’s swapping cardigans for bikinis in the newest installment of RHUGT Season 4!
The fashion blogger said she had her “fingers crossed” about seeing some of her former cast mates for the first time in years.
“I’m definitely not nervous to be with any of them; I think I’m — you know, I’m going to go with ‘excited,’” Kristen continued with a laugh.
