When Was Ultimate Girls Trip Season 3 Filmed? A Timeline of Thailand and All the Drama
What's going on with Whitney and Heather's fight, or Gizelle and Candiace's beef? We have a breakdown of when Real Housewives seasons and reunions fit in with Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Thailand.
We’re only a few episodes deep into The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 3, but as expected, the ladies are heating up our screens with drama.
In fact, there are so many arguments that it’s a bit confusing to keep up with who has beef with who, what’s been resolved on and off camera, and what’s still festering.
When the Housewives arrived in Thailand, Gizelle Bryant and Candiace Dillard Bassett of The Real Housewives of Potomac had just finished filming their season, as had Alexia Nepola and Marysol Patton of The Real Housewives of Miami, and Heather Gay and Whitney Rose of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
(Leah McSweeney of The Real Housewives of New York City and Porsha Williams of The Real Housewives of Atlanta were not fresh from filming any seasons.)
Let’s look at a timeline of when it all happened (because whew, it’s a doozy!), and how each season fits around the Thailand trip.
When Was The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 3 Filmed In Thailand?
Although just now streaming on Peacock, the Housewives first arrived in Thailand around July 20, 2022.
Porsha posted this picture on her Instagram page with the caption “I’m baccck” on that date, and Bravo and Peacock also made the announcement of a new season and cast on that day, showing the women lined up in front of elephants at a sanctuary.
We know the Housewives were back in the U.S. by July 28, as Alexia posted this picture of her and her husband on her Instagram that day, with the caption, “Came back from Thailand missing my baby.”
When Was Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City Season 3 Filmed?
Whitney and Heather had NO down time between heading off to Asia and RHOSLC Season 3, which featured castmate Jen Shah’s legal troubles.
Shah pled guilty to wire fraud and running a nationwide telemarketing scheme targeting seniors on July 11, 2022, according to NBC.
We know cameras were already rolling on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip when the news broke, as within the first few minutes of the premiere episode, Porsha expressed shock at learning in real time Jen had just pled guilty.
RHUGT revealed onscreen that only five days before packing and leaving for Thailand, Heather was with Jen.
“Right before this trip, I was in New York helping Jen prepare for trial,” Heather said in the premiere episode. “I am barely recovering from that news. It’s been two days, and I got on a plane and am showing up in Thailand.”
Upon landing, Heather was immediately interrogated by the other Housewives about the Jen Shah plea.
“I am processing it like right now, live,” Heather responded. “She told me she was innocent for a year, she swore on her family’s lives, she swore on their lives she was innocent, that these were bull---t charges.”
Heather also revealed to the ‘Wives she’s been texting Jen, but the two haven’t had a “real conversation” about it yet. Jen had not yet been sentenced when the trip was filmed.
Whitney also accused Heather of “riding harder” for Jen than for her, adding to the issues between the cousins. But the guilty plea was just the tip of the iceberg. The cousins also fought throughout Season 3 after clashing during the cast trip to Arizona, when Whitney claimed a mutual friend had told her and Heather a rumor about Lisa Barlow. Heather said she didn’t remember this conversation happening — jumpstarting months of arguing with her cousin.
Despite Whitney and Heather “pinky promising” to move forward on the trip, they clearly have a lot to work through — and it looks like it doesn’t get fully resolved in Thailand. Heather said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in October she felt horrible about the state of their friendship.
Variety reported The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion was taped on Dec. 16, 2022, months after the trip to Thailand.
When Was The Real Housewives Of Potomac Season 7 Filmed?
Gizelle and Candiace arrived with issues of their own.
Gizelle had accused Candiace’s husband, Chris Bassett, of making her feel “uncomfortable,” and both the accusation and the fallout were featured during Season 7 of the show — with the tension between the Housewives continuing into Thailand.
“We had literally wrapped the season, two weeks later, we’re on the way to Thailand,” Candiace told Entertainment Tonight. “I had not seen any Season 7 of Potomac, there was no — we had not shot the reunion, I had known nothing. All I knew was what I saw, that Gizelle and I had talked about in scenes and moments on the show.”
Candiace made her feelings about Gizelle known when she told Heather and Leah about the accusation while the ladies were on a yacht, claiming, "Gizelle loves to lie."

Candiace told Entertainment Tonight Thailand didn’t end well for her and Gizelle, saying, “She proved herself to be exactly who she is by the end of Girls Trip. So, I was over her, obviously, by the time we got to the reunion.”
As expected, this argument played out again at the reunion, with Candiace saying she “really left everything on the couch.”
When Was The Real Housewives Of Miami Season 5 Filmed?
Unlike the other ladies from the same franchise, Alexia and Marysol are close friends with no brewing feud when they arrived in Thailand. However, they did arrive fresh off filming as well.
We know the Miami ‘Wives got in front of the cameras for Season 5 some time around the beginning of April 2022, as photos surfaced of the women at the “New Beginnings Party.”
Miami OG Lea Black returned to film with Lisa Hochstein to discuss her divorce toward the end of the filming in July, with photos of the finale party appearing July 2 — putting a wrap on the season just before Alexia and Marysol jetted off to Thailand for Ultimate Girls Trip.
We also know any drama to come between Alexia, Marysol, and their fellow Housewives on vacay happened before the Miami reunion was filmed — Entertainment Tonight reported cameras rolled on the reunion in January 2023.
