Tracy Tutor Bought a House in Dallas: "New City, New Beginning"

The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent also revealed the "most important element" of her new Texas home.

By Cynthia Robinson

Tracy Tutor spent almost a year giving her home in Los Angeles a "full-scale remodel" (watch the finished result in the video above). Though the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent has been busy working on the West Coast, she also has something exciting to share down south: a new home in Dallas.

How to Watch

“Believe it or not, this is the first time I have lived alone,” Tracy, who shares teenage daughters Scarlett and Juliet Maltas with her ex-husband, Jason Maltas, told PEOPLE in an August 21 interview about her new property. “First it was roommates, then boyfriends, moving on to husband, then husband and two kids, more boyfriends, but always dogs. It is refreshing to come home to my space there and it’s exactly how I left it.”

Tracy celebrated the symbolism of starting over in a new space following the end of her more than three-year relationship with Erik Anderson in 2023. “New city, new beginning," she declared.

As for the interior design of the spacious abode, Tracy noted that she's “always about light and space” as well as incorporating artwork that's the “perfect amount of provocative and fun.” The realtor teamed up with Samuel Lynne Galleries to outfit her space with "special pieces" by David Yarrow, Lea Fisher, and Tyler Shields and also brought the interior together with help from George Bass Stage & Design

“It was important for me to keep a neutral palette, so I could come home after a crazy day in Dallas and unwind,” she told the outlet, also revealing where she wanted to pay special attention in the home.

“The most important element for me is my bed — I value my sleep more than most,” she shared. “I thought I had hit the jackpot with my bed in Beverly Hills, but Hästens proved me wrong. It’s like a cloud.”

Moreover, in the spirit of being a “California girl at heart,” Tracy highlighted the importance of transferring indoor-outdoor living to Dallas. She made sure her patio was "treated like a room in and of itself" in collaboration with Azzurro Living

Is Tracy Tutor moving to Dallas?

Tracy purchased a property in Dallas mainly because of her business, but she also detailed other reasons for possibly settling down in the Lonestar State.

“Once arriving there, I immediately fell in love not just with the opportunity, but the people. Becoming a part-time resident there was easy for me,” she shared. “ After building a team of accomplished agents, it became apparent that I wasn’t just going to sell there, I wanted to be there.”

Will the move be a permanent one? For Tracy, it's all about the timing. “I have learned in life to never say never.”
