Teresa Giudice Returns to Instagram with a Touching Tribute to Her Late Father
The RHONJ cast member’s father passed away in early April.
Teresa Giudice is honoring her late father, Giacinto Gorga, two weeks after his death. The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member returned to Instagram with one of her first posts since revealing her dad passed away from health issues earlier this month.
The mom of four posted a touching tribute to Giacinto, affectionately known as Nonno (or grandfather in Italian, on Instagram, sharing a picture of the two of them posing alongside her brother, Joe Gorga. “Home is where the heart is,” she captioned the sweet family photo.
Teresa first shared the tragic news of her father’s passing on April 3, sharing a slideshow featuring various photos of Giacinto and her family. "My father, my protector, my hero, God took you early this morning to be with mommy," she wrote at the time. "I saw you peacefully pass [and] I know you kept fighting for my daughters and I."
Shortly after his death, Teresa shared several vintage photos of her dad, as well as a brief video of the moving memorial she and her family held in his memory. “Today we set you free, fly high to Mommy,” she wrote of the ceremony.
Giacinto moved in with Teresa and her four daughters in 2017 after the death of his wife and Teresa's mother, Antonia Gorga. He faced several health battles over the years, including a hospitalization for pneumonia this winter.
