Kathryn Dennis Pays Tribute to Her Late Mom: “Man I Miss Her”
Southern Charm's Kathryn Dennis remembers her mom Allison Calhoun Dennis.
Kathryn Dennis is remembering her late mom, Allison Calhoun Dennis, this holiday season. The Southern Charm mother-of-two posted a throwback photo of her mom and dad, Luke Dennis, along with an emotional message.
"Just found this picture of my mom and dad...the resemblance is crazy! Man I miss her," Kathryn wrote on Twitter.
Kathryn's mom passed away back in August after "an extended illness." She is survived by Kathryn and Luke, as well as her son, Luke Dennis Jr. Kathryn previously opened up to PEOPLE in April about how "incredibly close" she was to her mother, who was a descendant of the seventh vice president of the United States, John C. Calhoun. “My mom’s my best friend,” she said at the time. “She stuck by me through so much. I don’t know what I would do without her.”
Kathryn's mother moved in with her during a past battle with cancer. “She was sick for a year and a half and I was taking care of her,” Kathryn told PEOPLE previously. “She’s since been living with me, essentially. It’s great to have her around, especially because she’s so good with the kids. She’s amazing. She’s the best mom I could ever hope for with everything.”
