Shereé Shares Adorable Photo of Her Granddaughter, Mecca: "She’s Sooo Precious!"
The RHOA cast member gushed over her latest family addition: "She’s truly a good baby.”
It’s clear Mecca Joie Whitfield takes after her “glamma.”
Although she’s still in her infant stage, Shereé Whitfield’s granddaughter has already developed a knack for turning looks. Case in point: Shereé’s July 8 Instagram post that showed the nearly 1-year-old looking equal parts adorable and effortlessly cool. The photo, which was also shared on the little one’s Instagram page, showed Mecca wearing a pair of white sunflower sunglasses, a cute red summer top, itty bitty stud earrings, and gold bracelets.
“U gotta wear shades when ur future is bright,” Shereé captioned the post.
Shereé dotes on her granddaughter: "She's such a good baby"
The Atlanta mom also hopped in the comments section to respond to a few adoring comments. She gushed over her grandaughter’s cherub cheeks and described the youngster as “definitely too cool.”
“She’s sooo precious!!” Shereé replied to one comment, before adding, “She’s truly a good baby.”
Shereé's son, Kairo, welcomed Mecca in the summer of 2022
Shereé’s son, Kairo Whitfield, shares Mecca with his girlfriend, Alina Baber. The couple welcomed Mecca — their first child together — in July 2022; however, Shereé didn’t publicly introduce the baby until spring 2023.
“She’s adorable; the sweetest, cutest little girl,” the Atlanta 'Wife told People magazine in May. “She has the curliest hair, the best smile and is such a happy baby. I’m excited when I see her, but when we see each other, she gets so, so excited. It melts your heart!”
She continued: “It’s been so special to have her in our family, and it gets more and more special every day as I watch her grow. Just seeing the person she’s becoming, the way she reacts to me, the bond we’re building… it’s just so cool.”
Mecca makes RHOA cameo with Shereé
Mecca appeared in RHOA Season 15 Episode 6, which showed the Whitfields making a Christmas ornament with the infant’s handprint. During a confessional, Shereé reflected on her family addition and recalled the moment she learned that Kairo was becoming a dad.
“Kairo walks in and he’s just standing there, and I’m like, ‘What’s up?’ and then he finally said, ‘I have a baby on the way,’” she said in the June 11 episode. “Alina was already four months pregnant, and so I totally felt like I was behind preparing for the baby. I don’t even think it really, really resonated or hit me yet.”
Shereé admitted she didn’t think Kairo was ready to be a father at that time, but his actions have proven otherwise.
“He is so hands-on and I love it that I raised him to be that type of person,” she added. “Kairo is doing amazing. He really is.”
