Mercedes "MJ" Javid's Son Shams Is Getting So Big and It's Leaving Her Emotional
The Shahs of Sunset mom's 3-year-old son hit a growth spurt before heading back to school.
Shahs of Sunset’s Mercedes "MJ" Javid came to an emotional realization while putting together son Shams Feight’s back-to-school wardrobe: Her little boy is growing up fast. In fact, she had no choice but to buy her three year old some new duds before his first day back in the classroom.
“After a recent growth spurt, I sized up for his clothes and he looks SO BIG in 4t at age 3+,” MJ explained in the caption of an August 25 Instagram slideshow of Shams in a colorful shorts and t-shirt combo that he accessorized with white high tops and a dinosaur bookbag. Set to the tune of The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize,” the post also showed Shams cheesing hard, so he seems to be a fan of his first-day fit.
Naturally, it was an emotional moment for the mom, who added, “It’s ok, I’m okay. I’ll be fine,” along with a rocket emoji.
The bittersweet milestone capped off a summer of fun for the duo, along with MJ’s husband, Tommy Feight. While celebrating her birthday with an oceanside lunch, MJ even got a very special gift from her boy. Encouraged by Tommy, Shams took a break from his coloring to adorably say, “Happy birthday, Mommy.” Sharing an Instagram video of the sweet moment on August 19, she wrote, “My heart [is] bursting.”
Sending happy birthday wishes to MJ in the comments, Shahs of Sunset’s Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi called it “the best Happy Birthday anyone can ever receive,” while The Real Housewives of Miami’s Marysol Patton wrote that Shams’ special message was “awesome.”
Earlier, MJ shared another video of her and Sham enjoying their “summer days” on July 8. In the short clip, the youngster took a break from examining a lobby dodecahedron sculpture to excitedly run to the elevator when his mom told him he could press the button.
It wasn’t so long ago that MJ and Tommy were celebrating Shams' third birthday. “Just like that, you became 3!" she captioned her April 18 post, adding, "I am [the] luckiest person on the planet to be your mommy. I love you with everything I am, and hope to keep on doing my best to be the best Mommy of whom you could dream..."
