Fredrik Eklund Has a Good Reason for Skipping Ryan Serhant's Wedding
The broker shares why he won't be attending his fellow #MDLNY agent's nuptials.
When Ryan Serhant and Emilia Bechrakis say "I do" this summer, in what we imagine will be an over-the-top destination wedding, one person will be notably absent from the festivities: Fredrik Eklund. Ryan's fellow Million Dollar Listing New York agent revealed on Watch What Happens Live Thursday that he chose to opt out on the Greece nuptials. And he has a very interesting reason for making that decision.
"I am not invited... I made it very clear from the very beginning, this was like a year ago when this started to be discussed, that I didn't want to go because I think certain things are holy, like obviously a wedding," Fredrik told Andy Cohen, who shared that he did receive an invite. "And I don't want to disturb that beautiful energy between the two of them with my presence 'cause it can get a little bit — you know, him and me [have a history], so it's better... It's a beautiful thing."
In addition to knowing who isn't on the guest list, back in April, Ryan spilled some more wedding secrets to The Daily Dish. "We're doing it in Greece. We're doing it on an island, off an island, off an island. So we're not having a lot of people there — it's kind of a pain to get to. It's going to be very, very pretty, and elaborate," Ryan said. "It took us a year and a half to put it together. But like I told her after the proposal, 'Listen, I'm only ever doing this once in my life. So we're gonna do this once. It's going to be awesome and you're just gonna have to kill me 'cause I can't afford to do this ever again.' Same thing for the wedding. So it'll be cool, it'll be good."
