See the Exact Moment Ryan Serhant and Emilia Bechrakis Found Out They Were Having a Baby
The looks on the MDLNY couple's faces said it all: "[We] sat there FREAKING OUT!"
Ryan Serhant and Emilia Bechrakis are head over heels in love with their baby girl, Zena, and who can blame them? Born just over a month ago on February 26, the newborn is impossibly cute and snuggly. And, having a baby was a dream come true — and one that didn't come easily — for the Million Dollar Listing New York couple.
In the past, Emilia and Ryan have been open about their journey with IVF. It took them more than three years to conceive, so you can imagine how ecstatic they were when they found out they'd been successful. But in fact, you don't have to only imagine the couple's happiness, because Ryan just shared an incredibly sweet photo of the moment they found out Emilia was pregnant.
In the March 28 post, the couple is holding up a pregnancy test looking equal parts overwhelmed, thrilled, and moved. Ryan also shared the story of that amazing day: "I will never forget it. We put a towel over the pregnancy test and sat there FREAKING OUT for 6 minutes. We wanted to give it extra time just in case. And we kept telling each other it would be negative so that we would have low expectations. OR that if it WAS positive, it was a false positive. Because after so many years of trying, there’s NO WAY it worked. Right??? Even with all the shots and all the positive thinking. And then we saw two lines. And we cried. And then we tested again and again JUST TO BE SURE!!! And then we spent the next few months talking to Emilia’s belly and saying over and over, “Stick, Baby, Stick!” And now we have Zena, stuck with these crazy parents forever."
During Emilia's actual pregnancy, the couple stayed quiet on social media — for a very understandable reason. "I felt such a need to be private about my pregnancy on social media because I had so many ups and downs. I found the anxiety overwhelming," Emilia recently shared. "But through all the fears, scares, sickness, and aches, I loved every moment. Even the hardest moments. Every kick, every hiccup, every heartbeat, every ultrasound visit..."
How lovely to be able to share in the couple's joy at last!
