Here’s Why Karen Huger Does *Not* Approve of Robyn Dixon’s Family Fun Day Plan
In an RHOP preview, Karen tells Robyn how she really feels about Dr. Wendy Osefo’s exclusion from Family Fun Day.
While one golden rule among Real Housewives is to leave the kids out of the drama whenever possible, Robyn Dixon and Dr. Wendy Osefo’s disagreement on The Real Housewives of Potomac has officially extended into Family Fun Day territory.
On the October 23 episode, Robyn and Wendy clashed at Ashley Darby’s dance class about Mia Thornton’s decision to post about her health on Instagram before she knew the outcome of her medical tests. Robyn and Gizelle Bryant wondered if Mia was looking for attention, while Wendy claimed that she wanted to give her “the benefit of the doubt“” (that was before her hot mic moment).
Robyn later decided to talk about her plans for a Spring Break Family Fun Day in front of Wendy — who wasn’t invited, nor were her three kids.
After taking some time to think about it, Robyn ultimately concluded that she didn’t want Wendy’s kids to be left out just because she disagreed with their mom. She came up with an interesting compromise: Candiace Dillard Bassett could bring Wendy’s kids to the event, but Wendy herself was not welcome.
Wendy turned down the offer, as she didn’t want her three children to be without a parent at a place where she wasn’t allowed.
In a preview of the October 30 episode, Robyn learns from Candiace that Wendy “did decline” the offer to have her kids participate.
Robyn thinks the refusal is further proof that Wendy’s reaction is “not about the kids,” while Wendy and Karen agree that the solution was flawed to begin with.
“This is not OK,” Karen says at Family Fun Day. When Robyn asks why, Karen adds, “[Be]cause it’s the kids.”
Robyn’s explanation that Candiace could have brought Wendy’s kids doesn't change the Grande Dame’s mind. “You should have been bigger than that,” Karen continues.
“I’m not,” Robyn replies. “I’m not. I’m petty.”
Karen thinks this all happened because she wasn’t present for Ashley’s dance class.
“I expect y’all to behave yourselves better when I’m not around,” Karen says. “I can take a sick day!”
In an interview in the episode, Karen concludes that Robyn’s plan just “makes no sense.”
