Jennifer Aydin Posts About Her Adorable Mother-Daughter Trip with Olivia
The RHONJ cast member made her daughter's dream come true with a Vampire Diaries-themed Georgia getaway.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Jennifer Aydin is taking a bite out of the Peach State with her daughter, Olivia. Explaining in an August 17 Instagram caption that Olivia’s dream was to travel to Georgia for a tour based on The Vampire Diaries, she told her 9-year-old kid, “Sure! Why not?”
She even let her followers in on the fun, too, sharing several photos and videos from the fun mother-daughter trip. Located in Covington, Georgia, the Vampire Stalkers Mystic Falls tour takes fans to such filming locations as the Clocktower, town square, Gilbert House, Caroline Forbes' House, and the Lockwood Mansion. As Jennifer noted on Instagram, the “amazing tour” was beyond their expectations. “The town of Covington is beautiful!” she wrote, adding that “a lot of famous movies” were also filmed there. (Among them are Selma, Sweet Home Alabama, Remember the Titans, and My Cousin Vinny.)
Though the trip ended up being a “little Mommy and daughter getaway,” Jennifer — who’s also mom to Justin, Jacob, Christian, and Gabby — insisted that she offered to take all five of her kids. “And much to Olivia’s satisfaction, they all declined,” she explained. “So [Queen Olivia] got the tour and mommy all to herself.”
Jennifer and Olivia, who brought along a portrait of actor Ian Somerhalder’s character Damon Salvatore, had such a good time that they’re already planning their next visit. After discovering that the Lockwood Mansion has a guest house that doubles as an Airbnb, the RHONJ ‘Wife added, "I know where we’ll be staying next time!”
Though The Vampire Diaries ended its eight-season run in 2017, Jennifer added that now all Olivia needs it to “meet her favorite characters on the show,” tagging Somerhalder, along with his co-stars Kat Graham, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Joseph Morgan, Candice King, and Michael Trevino. "Hoping for the best," she wrote, “Gimme some time baby and I’ll make all your dreams come true.”
