Here's How Martina Navratilova Really Feels About Wife Julia Lemigova's Friendship with Adriana de Moura
The Real Housewives of Miami's Julia Lemigova shares her tennis legend wife's reaction to the Season 4 drama.
The Real Housewives has given us some iconic friendship duos over the years, and there's a new pair that currently has everyone talking.
In Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Miami, which is streaming now exclusively on Peacock, OG Adriana de Moura introduced us to her BFF Julia Lemigova, and their closeness has raised some eyebrows among their friends and fans alike. Julia did notably give Adriana a foot massage in the latest episode of the show, after all.
When Julia appeared with the rest of the RHOM cast on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on January 4, she addressed those who may not understand her relationship with Adriana. "Keep watching, and you have plenty to discover," Julia said in the above clip.
Andy Cohen followed that up by asking Julia if her wife, Martina Navratilova, is "jealous when she sees what goes on between you and Adriana." "Martina is not jealous, and there is nothing to be really jealous about. I'm married, happily married, and love Martina. And, you know, Adriana is my best friend," Julia explained. "And I'm like this butterfly who is — people think I'm flirting, but I'm not actually flirting. Even my dress has butterflies. You know, it's my way to communicate with people."
After playfully offering to give Andy a foot massage during a game of "Truth or Drink!," Julia shared the one thing that bothered Martina as some drama broke out between Adriana and Guerdy Abraira at Julia's birthday dinner in the most recent episode of RHOM. "I think she only complained one time, but it wasn't really complained," Julia said when asked which Housewife "Martina complained about to you the most" (clip below). "She just said that when Adriana and Guerdy had that situation over my birthday dinner that Martina got her delicious food cold. So she was kind of complaining more about the food than about the girls. She loves the girls."
Adriana returned the love for Julia and Martina in an interview with In the Know in December, praising them for making history as the first married couple to represent the LGBTQIA+ community on The Real Housewives. "Julia is such a good representation for that," Adriana said, later adding of Martina, "She's a trailblazer for the gay community and a legend as a sportswoman. I have such deep respect for Martina and have had the privilege of being friends with them for so long."
During the January 4 WWHL After Show, Julia admitted that, prior to joining the show, she and Martina binged all three seasons of RHOM, watching it for the first time together. "So I literally sat Martina next to me, and we were watching," Julia recalled in the below clip. "Martina was not watching all the time, but I was, like, religiously [watching] the whole three seasons in three days."
Seeing how enthusiastic her wife was about the show, Martina totally supported Julia's decision to join Season 4, the RHOM cast member said during the WWHL After Show. "Well, we're super private, you know, we don't really show our lives, and then here am I being so thrilled and wanting to do it. And, you know, Martina, like, we have such a great chemistry," Julia shared. "So seeing me excited about it, she just said, 'Go for it, girl.' You know, 'I am here with you, I will support you, and let's do it.'"
And Julia is glad she did. "I'm so thrilled now to be part of all this, the women I've met and grew to know more because it's such an amazing, dynamic group of women," she said. "And I keep learning from them something every day."
New episodes of RHOM are available on Thursdays exclusively on Peacock, where fans can also catch up on Seasons 1 through 3.
