Tamra Judge Says This is “a Huge Red Flag” in Shannon and John’s Relationship
The RHOC cast member added that this part of John and Shannon's romance "doesn't sound right."
The relationship drama between Shannon Storms Beador and John Janssen is still ongoing on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 17.
In case you need a refresher, Shannon broke the fourth wall on Episode 8 when Tamra Judge brought up the rumors that she heard about the now-exes' relationship from Heather Dubrow. In response, Shannon said in-part, "[If] they’re gonna start talking about my relationship, that’s not OK."
Since then, Shannon's relationship has been a topic of discussion amongst the other ladies — which also includes Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, and Jennifer Pedranti — who are divided on the matter.
On Episode 12, which aired on August 30, Shannon revealed how John really reacted when he found out that the women were talking about him. Plus, Tamra weighed in on what she believes was a major "red flag" in John and Shannon's relationship.
How John Janssen Reacted to the RHOC Drama
Though Shannon was worried that John would want to break up with her once he heard that the ladies were discussing some of the ups and downs of their relationship, he had a different sort of reaction altogether.
"We discussed it, and we don't care what they're saying," Shannon explained in an interview on the episode. "Was John happy? No, but we're good."
Shannon acknowledged that she has aired out some of her complaints to the other women in the past, but that her relationship with John was in a good place overall.
"I'm not going to talk about every argument I have with John. I'm not, I'm not," she told castmate Tamra when the two were hanging out together at Shannon's house. "But, I'll be honest with you, I get really upset when John and I don't spend a lot of time together."

In addition to not always spending a lot of quality time together, Shannon also explained that she handles conflict differently than John does.
"He's an avoider, like I'm a communicator..." Shannon told Tamra, before sharing a few more of the problems that the pair has had. "He doesn't want to talk and, you know, we've never gone on a trip, just he and I with no work. And that's something that has bothered me. And it's like, there's a part of me that says, 'Is he really in it?'"
"Do you think maybe he's afraid to get married?" Tamra wondered about why John is hesitant to stay over at Shannon's house, and to have those deeper conversations.
"It's possible, but we don't talk about it," Shannon said. "We don't talk about it. These are issues that John and I need to figure out, and it's none of Heather Dubrow, Emily Simpson, or Gina Kirschenheiter's business. And their opinions mean nothing to me."
Though Tamra didn't say it to Shannon in the moment, in an interview on the episode, she shared why the marriage confession "sounds right."
"Shannon and John not talking about getting married is a huge red flag," Tamra explained. "They've been together [for] three years, and no talk of marriage at their age? It doesn't sound right."
Shannon Storms Beador and Heather Dubrow's Conversation About John
Shannon wasn't pleased with Heather after Tamra said that she was talking about her relationship with the other ladies. But on Episode 12, Heather and Shannon met to try to get back to a "better place" in their friendship.
"I don't really have any hope that we're going to resolve anything, but I want to hear what Heather has to say," Shannon said in a different interview on the episode. "Because Heather's violation of the vault that I thought we had together is a total slap in the face."
"There is no vault," Heather argued in a separate interview on the episode. "She goes and gives everyone the combination, and I'm sick of it."
Back at their one-on-one, Shannon told Heather that she was feeling "hurt."
"It's never been my goal to talk about your relationship," Heather explained.
"I have relationship issues that most people have," Shannon added. "I'm hopeful that we can navigate through them because I've never loved someone more in my life. It's nobody's business, so if you're so concerned as my friend, then talk to me about it."
Heather said sorry in an attempt to move forward with Shannon.
"I apologize, honestly. I would never intentionally do something to hurt you," Heather said. "I feel like in my heart and in my mind, I don't believe I was ever sh-t talking you or trying to stir things up at all. If it came out that way or [it] moved that way, then I apologize."
"Thank you for saying that. It means something, and I appreciate that," Shannon said.
After sharing that she needed some time to process the hurt that she felt, Shannon left her meeting with Heather in a more optimistic place.
