Heather Dubrow Shares Her Thoughts on Shannon Beador and John Janssen’s Breakup
Fellow RHOC cast members Tamra Judge and Taylor Armstrong also weighed in on the split.
Shannon Storms Beador and John Janssen ended their relationship in November 2022 after about three and a half years of dating, but the two were still happily together when The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 17 filmed.
In the wake of their split, several of Shannon’s castmates shared their thoughts on what was going on between John and the mom of three during the final months of their romance.
During the After Show for the June 21 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Heather Dubrow reacted to Shannon’s breakup, and she revealed where the two stand in their friendship today. Heather Dubrow reacts to Shannon and John’s breakup
When asked how she feels about Shannon and John’s breakup, and Shannon’s subsequent comments about how they will never get back together, Heather had a complicated answer.
“You know, it’s a conundrum,” Heather said on WWHL about the split, before revealing that fans will understand why she’s hesitant to say more when they tune in to the rest of RHOC Season 17. “I’ve seen them out about town together and apart, and I have learned from the rest of the season of our show, which you’ll continue to watch, that I really can’t comment on such things.”
Host Andy Cohen agreed with Heather, and he teased that Shannon will have a strong reaction to criticism surrounding her relationship with John on the show.
“Just keep watching. She will lose her mind,” he said about Shannon.
Tamra Judge and Taylor Armstrong weigh in
When the former CUT Fitness co-owner appeared on WWHL herself on June 7, she revealed how she reacted when she found out that Shannon and John were no longer an item.
“Well, if you would have asked me that two years ago, I would have been not shocked at all,” Tamra said. “But filming this season, you have to understand that there was a four-month stretch where I was coming back into the group and being around him, and they seemed very in love.”
According to Tamra, Shannon did not indicate that her relationship with John was ever in a rocky place.
“[Shannon] did not tell me at all that things were bad,” she continued. “We have a moment that comes up where we sit down in her backyard and she tells me a few things. But I had no idea that he was gonna dump her.”
Taylor, who joined RHOC Season 17 as a friend after previously being a cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, also sounded off on her close pal’s relationship with John during her own appearance on WWHL on June 28.
“I’m going out with them on the third [of July] — Shannon and John together, so [they’re friends], but we are going out,” Taylor said.
She isn’t sure if they would be able to reconcile their romance at some point down the line. “I don’t know, but they are friends,” she continued. “I had dinner with them recently.”
Time will tell if Shannon and John will continue to hang out platonically. In the meantime, see Tamra, Taylor, Heather, and Shannon on RHOC Season 17 — which airs on Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
