Heather Dubrow Is Recovering From Surgery on Her Birthday
The RHOC cast member opens about up about her procedure and shares fun birthday moments.
It's never fun undergoing surgery, and The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member Heather Dubrow knows this firsthand. She recently had to undergo a surgical procedure of her own. Heather took to Instagram to reveal the outcome of her recent foot surgery which, unfortunately, happened to fall around the time of the RHOC cast member's birthday.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!" Heather wrote in the caption of her January 5 post, alongside a picture of her post-surgery foot. She went on to add, "Well… one week out from surgery and I’m doing MUCH better! Thank you for all of the beautiful birthday (and get well) wishes! I am so grateful for my family, friends and followers for your love and support! (Also grateful for my blinged out scooter!) Wishing you all a HEALTHY, happy and successful 2022!"
Several Bravolebs offered birthday wishes to Heather in the comments. "Happy birthday, gorgeous," wrote The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Garcelle Beauvais, while Heather's fellow RHOC cast member, Gina Kirschenheiter commented, "Happy birthday!!!!! Your poor toe!!! No way am I doing that! Lol." Heather's hubby, Dr. Terry Dubrow, also chimed in, adding, "I assisted!!"
Speaking of Terry, Heather credited the RHOC husband for his help on the January 6 episode of her podcast, Heather Dubrow's World. She jokingly referred to him as "Nurse Ratched" (a reference to the film, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest) who made sure to be there for Heather as she recovered from a bunionectomy, the surgical procedure she had done to her toe.
Heather also shared details prior to the surgery on her right toe during a December episode of her podcast. “My left foot isn’t as bad,” she explained. “I mean, should I have it done? Probably, but it’s not as bad. The right one is such a disaster. So again, I have to have a bunionectomy and my second toe has to be shortened and my third toe has an issue too. Like, there’s a lot of foot issues.”
However, the RHOC mom made the best of the toe-tally inconvenient timing of the situation and still celebrated her birthday with her family. She shared a glimpse into her birthday week on her Instagram Stories, which included sweet posts from her twins, Max and Nicholas, and daughter Katarina.
Gina and RHOC alum Tamra Judge also sent Heather their birthday wishes on their Instagram Stories, and the RHOC mom also showed her "light birthday dinner" she enjoyed at home, writing on her Instagram Stories, "Real celebration on Saturday with the kids!!"
