Erika Jayne Teases Her Big Las Vegas Project: “It’s a Dream Come True”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member began hinting at the “exciting” project at the 2023 Billboard Women in Music Awards.
Erika Jane is gearing up for her Sin City takeover.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member fueled excitement this week when she addressed her much-anticipated Las Vegas residency. In a recent interview, Erika spoke about the big gig as well as the response she’s received since teasing it earlier this month.
“I know what my reaction is, which is ‘It’s amazing.’ And I’m so excited and you must come,” she told Entertainment Tonight at the fourth-anniversary celebration of Sutton Stracke’s West Hollywood boutique, The Sutton Concept. “It’s a dream come true, actually. It’s a dream of mine to have a Vegas residency, and it’s happening.”
Erika and her team hinted at the project during Billboard’s Women in Music awards gala on March 1. While the Pretty Mess author was clearly stoked about what she had up her sleeve, she remained relatively tight-lipped on the details.
“I can’t tell you a lot,” she told E! News before tossing the question to entertainment lawyer Dina LaPolt. “It’s gonna be in Las Vegas and it’s gonna be amazing,” the lawyer said. “It’s going to feature Erika and it’s going to be original and we’re building it.”
It’s no secret that Erika is quite comfortable onstage. The singer, who has secured multiple entries on the Billboard charts, has been recording music since the aughties and has performed at some well-known venues around the world. She also made her Broadway debut in 2020, taking on the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago.
Fans have been waiting on new music from the “Painkillr” artist, who mentioned potential releases during her sit-down with The Daily Dish last year. Erika said she had been in the studio working on “pretty strong” records and suggested she had adopted a much different sound.
“It’s kind of like my punk rock era without being punk rock about it,” she explained. “It’s kind of no holds barred.”
While she has not confirmed when the new music will arrive, her followers are eager to see what she has in store for the rest of the year. However, she told ET it’s currently anyone’s guess… including hers.
“Let me get past this,” she told ET, referencing her Las Vegas residency. “Let me get past this, and then I’ll dream up some more things… Vegas is gonna be great, and we’re gonna add some more stuff to it.”
