Lala Kent Shares a Member of Her Inner Circle Is Moving On From Working with Her: "My Ache"
The Vanderpump Rules podcast host is opening up about no longer working with a close friend.
Lala Kent has parted ways professionally with a member of her inner circle. The Vanderpump Rules cast member took to her podcast, Give Them Lala, on Nov. 6 where she revealed that her friend, Jessica Walter, would no longer be working with her or appearing on the podcast.
During the podcast episode, Lala revealed during an "ache and relief of the week" segment that Jessica would not be returning to the podcast. "My ache is that my ride or die, Jessica, is no longer going to be working for me, and she is no longer going to be on the podcast," she explained. "My relief is that she's going to spread her wings."
"I love her more than anything, and I'm so excited to see what she's going to do in her future," she continued.
Jessica Walter no longer appearing on Lala Kent's podcast, Give Them Lala
Jessica was among the team of people who appear regularly on Lala's podcast, including her brother Easton Burningham and her mom Lisa Burningham.
Easton also opened up about how he was sad to see Jessica go. "It was family, but I want her to go and be successful in all the things she's wanting in life, and I'm excited to see her shine and do all the things she's wanting to do," he said.
Jessica seemingly commented on her next chapter when she posted an Instagram shortly after the episode dropped and captioned it, "One foot in front of the other, y’all."
Lala Kent's latest update on her VPR friendships
Lala has been incredibly busy with her life, between raising her 3-year-old daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett, and her 2-month old daughter, Sosa Kent. But, in the past couple months since giving birth, Lala has been giving some major updates on her friendships.
Where does Lala Kent stand with Ariana Madix?
During an Oct. 22 appearance on Sirius XM's Jeff Lewis Live, Lala was asked if she will ever repair her friendship with Ariana Madix. "That will never happen," she said, before noting that she has no ill will towards her former friend.
"Ariana, I will always be a cheerleader for," she explained. "She was absolutely fantastic on Broadway. She, I heard, killed it on Love Island USA. I've never watched the show and certainly didn't start watching it because we're not gonna, but I have no ill feelings about anybody on the show and I think that's what it feels for the first time. I feel peace."
Where does Lala Kent stand with Scheana Shay?
Lala's friendship with Scheana Shay, however, is thriving. In addition to being very close, their daughters are also close to one another, which is a lot of fun for the both of them. Shortly after Lala gave birth in September, Scheana was able to meet Sosa and sang the praises of her during a surprise appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in early October.
"She is so good," Scheana said of Lala during the episode. "That baby is just like a perfect doll."
