Racquel Chevremont Stuns RHONY Cast with Massive “Eccentric” Engagement Ring: “Is That a Hoax?”
Although the Housewives were shocked when she revealed it, Racquel's engagement ring matches her art curator style.
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend! New Housewife Racquel Chevremont surprised the ladies in Sag Harbor when she showed off her unusual engagement ring in this preview for Season 15, Episode 3 of The Real Housewives of New York City.
The showing of the massive diamond ring prompted Brynn Whitfield to comment, “As a giant ring specialist: kudos.”
The ‘Wives were introduced to Racquel’s fiancée, Mel Corpus, in the Season 15 premiere, with Erin Lichy adding, “Abe really liked her — I feel like I didn’t speak to her at all,” as the ladies agreed Erin will “love” Mel.

Racquel Chevremont Shows Engagement Ring from Fiancée Mel
Racquel said the proposal happened during a Ducati motorcycle rally.
“So we got off. We park all the bikes. And then everyone takes photos. And I didn’t realize that everyone was staying away from us,” Racquel said. “And she stands there and she starts telling me how much she loves the kids. And I was like, ‘Shhh, OK OK, I get it. I know you love the kids but we’ve got to take this picture.’ And then suddenly she goes to pull out a ring, and I was like, ‘Are you f-cking kidding me?’ That was the first thing out of my mouth.”
When Racquel showed off her ring to Brynn she described it as “this whole situation," but confirmed to Rebecca Minkoff she does wear it every day.
“It’s like black diamonds, white diamonds, cognac diamonds, and you know, it’s very me,” Racquel said to describe her ring in her confessional. She added, “It’s an art piece on my hand.”
Racquel is a “seasoned model” and “esteemed art curator with more than 20 years of experience,” according to her Bravo bio, making this the perfect ring for her.
“She’s very eccentric in her clothes and things,” Ubah Hassan said in her confessional. “I don’t see her with a little tiny engagement ring like the rest of us, you know what I mean?
Jessel Taank was shocked by the ring.
“If Pavit gave me that .... I would think it was a hoax,” she said in her confessional.
Racquel described her fiancée as a forensic neuropsychologist to the other Housewives in Sag Harbor. She and Mel were friends for over 12 years before they got together, she mentioned in Episode 1.
