Porsha Williams Shares a Sweet Look into Her Marriage: “Dear God, Thank You"
The RHOA alum posted a loving text message she received from her hubby, Simon Guobadia.
Porsha Williams is feeling thankful.
As she approaches her one-year wedding anniversary, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum shared another peek into her relationship with Simon Guobadia — a Nigerian-American entrepreneur she met in 2020. Porsha posted a screenshot of a sweet text message she received from her new husband, which proved their newlywed bliss is still very much alive.
“I love you so so much,” the text read. “All I want to do is love you, care for you and protect your energy. You are so deserving of it.”
Porsha returned the kind words in the Instagram caption, where she expressed how grateful she was to have Simon in her life: “Dear God, thank you for a Man like this, a husband like this, a partner like this ….!” she wrote. “We deserve y’all”

The couple tied the knot on November 25 in a traditional Nigerian ceremony, and held a second wedding just several days later in Atlanta. As confirmed by People magazine, the latter celebration had approximately 350 guests, including Bravolebrities like RHOA's Kandi Burruss, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Drew Sidora, Cynthia Bailey, and Monyetta Shaw.
Attendees also included Simon’s kids from previous relationships, as well as Porsha’s young daughter Pilar Jhena “PJ” McKinley, whom she shares with her ex-fiancé Dennis McKinley. Fans got a first-hand look at Porsha's changing family dynamics in the 2021 Bravo series RHOA: Porsha’s Family Matters, which shed light on her relationship with Simon’s older children.
Porsha Williams' Blended Family
Shortly after Pilar turned 4, Porsha provided an update on her and Simon’s blended household, insisting her little girl welcomed her step-siblings with open arms.
“She loves her brothers and sisters, which is so beautiful,” the RHOA alum told People magazine earlier this year. “I mean, she was an only child, to boom. She’s got two sisters and three brothers overnight. And they’re so patient and loving with her. She’s the youngest running around the house, so they have to practice patience with her. She runs the house still, but it’s great.”
Although Pilar is currently Porsha’s only kid, the GoNaked Hair has made it clear she’s open to expanding her and Simon's family.
“You are a beautiful man with an even more beautiful spirit and I couldn’t have ask [for a better man of the house than you,” she wrote in the June 2 post. “Hopefully God sees fit to expand our lil family in the future. I hope you know that I will love you and be by your side in this life and the next. Love youuuuu -Porsha aka your Peace lol.”
